This is during the construction of one of the new Leviathan jumpships in 2119, built in a dome within Thompson Crater on the moon. The Leviathans are almost entirely biotech, and top-of-the-line stuff. The three workers on the left are part of Orgotek, who are humanity's biotech experts and gifted with electrokinetic powers. The two on the right (wearing ornate robes) are human-shaped biological encounter suits worn by aliens called the Qin. The Qin are a society that never developed hardtech, and make our own biotech look like toys, but they don't have access to humanity's range of psychic abilities. Neither of us could have made the Leviathans without the other.
I didn't see John's original art notes on this one, but it very much brings to mind seeing the Normandy in Citadel drydock during Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC, which is absolutely perfect.
Hi! Developer here.
I was going for a take on the tango scene from True Lies. While in that movie the tango was more to serve as a distraction from the heist being done, here I upped the ante, and wanted to see what it would look like if the enemy knew that one of the dancers was the spy.
The tone of the game isn't grim, though, so I wanted to show she was having a great time with it.
Don't know if you're going for accuracy or not, but the original logo used Friz Quadrata as its font.
