Hi, EtheringtonBrothers,

I tried some of the techniques in the info graphic. What can I improve here?

These are brilliant! Are all these tutorials included in your book?
EtheringtonBrothers's avatar
Thank you!

The tutorials aren't in the big sketchbooks, but I'll be releasing a BIG book dedicated solely to the tutorials coming early 2018 - stay tuned!

Here's my take

Your gallery is a goldmine!  Thanks so much for this awesome resource!

my drawings have come a long way, but I'm still feeling unconfident when it comes to environments. Did you spend a lot of time drawing from photographs? Like just working from photos of landscapes?

Hey Clay!

That's flipping GREAT pal, I'll leave a proper comment on the piece itself!

Thank you so much for the very kind words - I'm so glad this stuff is proving to be a useful source of drawing ideas - we're only just getting started, SO MANY more to come!

Yes, I use reference, my imagination, and a mix of the two! Your comment has made me think a tutorial on good ways to creatively use reference materials would be a good one? I'll add it to the list!

Cheers pal!

Hi! I want to make a request for a tutorial: can it be one of mountains? Or this tutorial of rock formations can be useful for draw mountains?
EtheringtonBrothers's avatar
Hey Cat,

This tutorial can be used to give a basic understanding of rocks and how to use them in environments, but a full tutorial dedicated to designing mountains is a great idea - I've added it to the list, thank you!!

I want to suggest more tutorials, but I don't want to start to ask lot of it and then be... Annoying? But on future I'll comment more ideas!
EtheringtonBrothers's avatar
You can request as many as you want! I have a pretty huge list lined up already, but all new suggestions go on the list, and I'll definitely get to them all in the end, so ask away :)
