Farming Drudgery - Tricky Rabbits
The Dome was peaceful on a good day, and a bad one. But sometimes things just went wrong… very rarely. But today was potentially one of those days when Alcaeus rose from his sleep early that morning to begin work. The furred rexal having recently taken up a job farming crops on the outskirts of The Dome. His pursuit spotted coat quick to be groomed in the early morning before he made to head out. He had a full day today, he needed ot buy some new seeds, transport them back to the farm, collect the lentils now that they were ready to be picked and harvested. It was a lot to do, tilling soil, watering, maintaining the fences to keep out rabbits and other small rodents and creatures that might try to steal from his growing crops. But it was what he had to do for now. The rexal letting out a weary sigh as he lowered his head to lift the leather strap of a bag onto his neck, sliding down onto his broad shoulders where it would sit comfortably on the long jaunt to the markets. But first he

The Danger Zone - [Sunder / Dia]
It had been surprisingly not too difficult to get through the first level- Zone A- of the Alpha Labs. The Albertosaurus while newcomers to the island surprisingly friendly for carnivores actually helping Sunder when he had approached the steel doors of the labs once he heard they opened. The smog marked Anteosaurus taking his time to explore the ground levels of the labs with his new Albertosaurus companions, even managing to find some strange items he had never seen before. The blue-grey Anteosaurus surprise only evident when the Albertosaurus that had accompanied him through the first zone seemed to refuse to go any further when the way deeper below began to grow darker, damper and oddly… more overgrown? Sprouts of green spiking up between the cracks in the dark concrete that made up the structure of the Alpha Labs, thorns, vines, leafy greens and the further down he made his way throught the labs stairwells… flowers? Sunder paused mid step making his way down one of the dark

Tunnel Guide - [Neithe/Nyxia]
In a world overcast with smoke from the raging fires that had overtaken the islands since Doomsday began with the opening of The Door. The few cities- remnants of man that once teemed with life and the hustle and bustle of humanity- stood eerily silent and still, structures of cracked concrete and metal overgrown with foliage now as nature had begun to reclaim these monuments that once belonged to man, their hallways echoing with the absence of human life, their surfaces marred by crumbled walls and shattered windows, now filled with new and distinctly… bestial life: Dinosaurs, created by the labs of Morpheus and released upon the world by accident in the coming doom, leaving two unlikely explorers to roam the ruins; Neithe a Cryolophosaurus of feathered pelt and unnatural colouration, and the heavier darker form of an albertosaurus, Nyxia. The two unlikely allies as they met near the entrance to the alpha labs.
The size of the two in distinct contrast as the cryolophosaurus

[PA] - Carousel Horse - [Kaatja/Zaca]
The heat of the air sent flies buzzing around feathered pelts, quickly warded away, if only momentarily by a quick shake as Zaca and Kaatja made their way through the hills. The two suchomimus making their way through the humid weather to make their way down to the ruins of the old city that sat on the shoreline of Isla Kela. The two carnivore’s one dark and one pale in colouration, moved through the grassy outer hills until they finally reached the ruins of the urban sprawl of cracked concrete, hard, bitter scented ground and twisted metal that reeked of iron and rust. It was strange the things the two-legs built in their time; towering shelters and things that shone and glittered yet made no sense, all too euclidean and shiny to be natural. A world of wire fences, plants aligned too neatly to have thrived on their own. The strange pieces of metal that were lined with thick black rubber rings that filled the empty streets of bitter scented tarmac as Zaca cautiously made her way into

Comets! 2023 - Suuro / Typhoon
The spring night air was cool despite the warmth of the tropical nature of isles Kela and Pela. The buzz of night time bugs and insects that either glowed with an eerie light or stung and bit at the hides’ of the isles residents to feast on their blood being the only noise in the dimly lit quiet as Suuro made to find a spot to settle down for the night to rest, if at least for an hour or two before he went back to exploring all the wonders the islands had to share. The flicker of stars in the sky was enough for now to hold his interest as the feathered carnotaurus made himself a makeshift nest to take a nap. A flicker of movement overhead in the gloom, unlike the usual shift and glimmer of stars, but brighter zipping across the sky soon catching his attention. A star that instead of simply sitting in the sky flew across it like some of the isles airborne residents twinkling overhead, shining and burning like a star fallen to earth, and maybe that’s what this flying anomaly was. Slippery Misadventures - Dec 2022 - Sunder
Sunder had always liked the cold. The banded marked Anteosaurus enjoying the cold against their thick, feathered coat. The flakes of snow falling from the sky to melt on his monochrome pelt when the colder months came to Isla Kela. The other dinosaurs of the island much preferred to hide from the cold- or at least those without a thick hide of feathers did. But not Sunder. The feathered Anteosaurus instead prowling from his den in the early morning to scavenge for food while the weather was at it’s coldest still. A huff of steam warm breath escaping his nostrils as the Anteosaur glanced around with wintry blue eyes, cautious in case there were any larger carnivores of the islands still prowling about this early as he pattered out into the snow, claws scraping against the frost hardened ground. The freezing cold of the winter enough to make even the carnivore shiver as he shook some stray flakes of snow from his coat to scamper into the frost touched underbrush. The Anteosaurus deciding

[PA] - Stranger Creatures - [Cactus]
The spring rain that battered the shore off Isla Kela made for torrential conditions. The stormy waves having washed up the carcass of a whale onto the sandy shores in the cloudy skyed midday. The carcass covered in kelp that had washed ashore with it, reeking like rotting fish. It’s blubbery hide covered in sharp barnacles as a far smaller shape made it’s way along the rock and sand laden shores. The shape of a pachycephalosaurus with a feathered hide covered in pinstriped markings, who let out a snort as a bit of rain water dripped into his nostrils, making the bull herbivore shake his head and sneeze to dislodge the offending liquid. Cactus rarely ever ventured along the beach shores of the islands- his dislike of water abundant. But necessary to be ignored this time as he cautiously approached the washed up carcass. The smell enough on its own to make him queasy instantly, and likely to only attract predators as he padded closer to begin sifting through the sea detritus to gather

The early morning sun rising over the sea heralded a new day as a sharp breeze cut through the early morning spring warmth. The night before a long one where all within the herd were awake, unable to sleep as they awaited the birth of a new member of the herd. The new calf being born just before sunrise much to the relief of all as Cordea finally had a chance to step away from caring from the new mother. The merle patterned styracosaur letting out a sigh of relief as she headed away from the birthing spot to join the rest of the main herd on the beach as the sun rose in brilliant shades of purple and red. The feathered styracosaur more than content to take a moment’s break before she brought some food back for the resting mother and her newborn hatchling. The clan having already gotten started on the festivities of such on occasion as old turtle shells, large and wide were placed around the sandy shore, filled with all manner of tasty treats. With the night settling in over Isla Kela, Violetta was swift to leave the nest as the sun set over the horizon. The nest where her flock usually rested- the ruins of an old museum sat quiet as the lavender coloured tapejara took to the air, small wings fluttering to lift her into the sky as she swooped down into the street before soaring upward to above the skyline of the urban ruins. The tapejara, a creature of the air not particularly fond of most leafy, herbivorous foods thanks to her own reputation as a carnivore, and the culture of her flock was out on the hunt for a rare treat. The one of the few leafy foods she was fond of being the sweet honeycomb that bees produced. The sticky, golden nectar a rare treat on the island for a creature that was prone to a rough life of violence and bloodshed.
