The night sky glittered above like a celestial canopy, silver stars resting near the slither of crescent moon. Milky light filtered down into the wide expanse of forest, the snow-capped mountains outlined on the horizon. Orange and red autumn leaves drifted to the undergrowth below, leaf debris scattered across the forest floor. Night weather brought with it a cold chill, the wind sweeping through the forest. It certainly wasn’t the most pleasant stroll through the forest, but they had to forage for more food eventually.
