Netflix's Fantastic Four: The Thing

Biography:
Ben Grimm is an Italian-American who grew up in a rough household with a bullying brother and neglectful parents. At an early age, he befriended a young gifted boy Reed Richards which actually helps inspired him to act like a guardian protecting him from bullies back from their childhood days in school as well. As time went on, Ben begin performing a lot of weight lifting and got physically stronger to the point where he was on his way to becoming a wrestler if he hadn’t joined the space program with the other three people.

When they got hit by Cosmic Radiation upon their time in space and re-entry, Ben took more direct hits and ended up feeling like he got the worst of it. His body heavily mutated, from skin to organs, every part of him turned in an organic rock-like structure from the inside-out. He also increased in mass and become twice as heavy.

Ben felt like a monster with his new form, and grew to spite Johnny, who wound up calling him a walking “Thing”. But when trouble struck, his was impressive strength and almost indestructible prowess that helped him realize his potential as a Superhero.

Despite his dismay, he took on the alias “The Thing” and became the brawn of the Fantastic Four. He helps to remind Reed that every so often that he shouldn’t get caught up in science so much and focus on Sue and the family they made together. He may be hard and strong, but he’s got a soft heart.
