So, from tomorrow on, I will be away. Going to France, near Avignon.

My dad and little brother are going to cycle to the top of Mont Ventoux. It is said to be one of the hardest and best mountains if you want a good cycle workout.

And yes, my dad did do Alpe d'Huez too. That was 5 years ago, a month after his dad (my grandad) died. To raise money for a charity against cancer.

So, I don't know about you or how the weather has been for you... But I'm going to enjoy the sun and do just little next to nothing. ;)

11. An Owl... Would love to have such a majestic animal.
12. Ehhhh, cookies, biscuits and chocolate when I'm drinking tea.

It took them some time, but finally I have some good news.

For the next couple of months (till July), I'll have a job as a teaching assistent. Finally, after all those years, I can do something I really studied for. (Don't get me wrong, I love my job at the museum, but with this job, I know how much I will make at least each month)

My hubby is alright too. Decided to do a small job on the side while waiting for a place to start a board game store. So finally! We can save some money for the future!

I am kinda afraid that this will mean I won't get to do much writing any more (yes, maybe even less than before) But I want to finish 'I'm here for you'. Hopefully I can promise that.

Hope you'll have a wonderful day/week/month too.

So... When I just became co-founder of the last TSS club, I started to rummage around in my old favourites and my own gallery. I saw some things again I hadn't seen for some long, long time...

Today I was kinda bored. I am trying to write some new stuff, but I figured I would do something different. Because I made an account on, I wanted to place some of my old fanfics there, rewritten.

So at this point, I'm rewriting some of my old fanfics. I won't do all and I will leave the old ones here on dA and I see them as a part of me. That was the way I wrote when I was younger. It's still not perfect, maybe not even close, but it's better and I'm still learning.

Especially now I know what I wrote later on, I can anticipate that in my older stories. So it will be one smooth series of stories.

Which ones will I rewrite?

The ones with the recurring OC's in it. So, Eliza, Melissa, Dahlia, to name a few.
They will be rewritten in the following order:

  • I'm Here for you
  • Behind the mask
  • Christmas Ball
  • Secret Agent Parents
  • A Vampire's Halloween.
  • A Volt always comes back
  • Just one touch
  • I won't let you down
  • A toast to our future
  • A new Life
  • Tale of Two sisters

Who knows, maybe there might be new stories between these old ones.

There are new stories waiting, I can give you something about these stories.

1. About Mildred's life as an U.Z.Z. agent. This might be way different than you might think. During my stories, I told you that Mildred and Lionel had met Arthur and Mary Lynn (My take on Anita's parents) during the time they all worked for U.Z.Z. First chapter is set right after A new life, but the rest of it all takes place more than 30 years earlier. I will explain more about this story once I have written it.

2, About the next generation of U.Z.Z. agents. You've met them already, I made a few 'arts' about them some time ago. Mostly kids from the characters of The Secret Show. After I made those posts, I found out I had something different in mind earlier. This idea exists for years - more than 5 years to be honest - so I had written down some stuff about the characters. Which I recently found again. So I will update the posts in the near future.

That's all for now. Work might be busy the next weeks. Hopefully I will find some time to write soon. (Like I always promise)

Still love you all and wish you the best in the world!

Just a small journal entry about where you can find me online. Most of you know I'm on dA and for 10 years now, but I do have some other sites I post small things.

So here's a list of where to find me and what the websites have.

    • The place where I also place my fanfics, mostly English
    • My place for the Dutch fanfics. If you're curious, go ahead, but you are warned. It is in Dutch.
    • Haven't placed something there for some long time. Co-site with Nessie222
    • Just signed in. Not sure what to do with it yet, but I already like the way this website is.
  • facebook
    • (Yeah, no link, you only get the link if you want to be friends and I do know you. So send me a note if you want to be friends with me) Don't do Instagram of Snapchat. Not my style.
  • Skype
    • Not much online either. None of my friends use it now and with the smartphone and the whatsapp videocalls, it's way easier for me now to get in contact with long distant friends/family

So, yesterday was Valentine's Day. And of course, me and my husband did something together.

Went to Rotterdam, we have a pas which lets us go to museums for free. So we went to two museums.

One of them was the Rotterdam Museum. A museum about the city. It was small and cute. The bar attached to the museum was really nice as well.

Also went to Maritiem Museum. Last time I went there was like 20 years ago. It's really nice. Lots of art about the Dutch navy, stuff about ships and boats and things.

They made a thing called 'The offshore experience'. How is it to work at sea? On a oil platform? It was really cool. Hubby and I really liked it ^^

Also part of the museum are a number of ships in the harbor. When possible, you can board the ship. There was even a ship container which showed interviews with men who worked in the Harbor of Rotterdam. Even though I'm not from Rotterdam myself, I love the people. They really speak their mind. 'Don't keep talking, just keep working' is something that suits them.

So even though it wasn't massively romantic, it was really nice to go out together.

Other stuff... I am trying to write new stuff for The Secret Show fandom. Can't promise a thing, but who knows? You might like it ;P

Lots of love,

So, since it's almost the end of the year (I won't be around the next few days, because I'm going away with my in-law family & friends for New Year's Eve), I want to look back at my 2017 and look forward to my 2018.

I know I'm not a lot around anymore, I hope to change it next year. I am not going to promise I will write stories again, it really depends on my work.

So, my 2017...

Most important, I got married. (read it all here) I loved our day. Maybe it wasn't a big princess wedding - never wanted that - but we celebrated that with the people we love most. Still sad my Grandfather didn't get to see it in person, but I really know he was there, together with my other grandparents who passed away when I was little.

Got a new job and got rid of one and lost one. Lost my job due closing of the board-game store I worked for (on a negative note, still need to get my overtime money from my old boss) Got a new job; I do workshops with kids now. Like it, I like working with kids. Still work as a'guide for a museum nearby. And got rid of my mail-job. It was more a job at the side (didn't earn that much) and now I couldn't combine it with my other jobs.

Made new friends, who I love dear. They also love comics like I do. And even though the museum closed before we even knew it, we still keep in touch.

The Year went by fast. So much to do and so much to arrange for our wedding.

So 2018...

I really hope my hubby will get a good paying job. He has been jobless for a few months now and it's getting harder and harder to cope with everything and the bills. He still wants to study, because with what he has, he can't get a job in the field.

Hopefully I can get something with hours for sure. Because now it's unknown what I will get every month. So I keep looking for something, even if it's just small.

We go to our honeymoon. I've been saving for the last year for it. Hopefully a few days to Parc Asterix. Last time I went, I was 13 years old and my hubby was around the same age I believe. So we both really want to go.

Who knows, maybe a home.

Not a family. We wanted to wait until he had finished his last study - that would end in 2019 - but now it's gonna be even a longer wait. We have the time, but we shouldn't wait too long. Plus we really need a new home before we can start a family.

A new Secret Show group has been made, and I've been asked to be co-owner. Since it's been just a week or two that this group exists, I think we still need to see what needs to happen with this group. I have a few ideas, but because I have been busy the last few days, I wanted to start with it in 2018.
(If you have any ideas too, let me know. If you want to become a member, let me know too)

Hope you'll have the best last day of 2017 and I will see you in 2018!!!

My dearest friends, I hope you all had a great Christmas and maybe a good Boxing day today.

Went to my family yesterday,  good food & nice people.
Today we'll go to my in-laws,  nothing to special,  because we'll see them a few days later too with New Year's Eve. (Going away with friends and in-law family to be together and have a lot of fun)

Love you all and speak to you soon again.

It's been a while, I know...

On 6th of October, me and my now husband Mark got married. I will change my dA-ID soon into one of my favorite pics from our wedding day.

The day itself was wonderful. I went back to my parents - it's an old tradition in the Netherlands and maybe also in other countries, but that was not the reason for me. We married in a different city, one that was close to where my parents live.
The morning was rainy and lots of bad weather. But luckily, we would be going at noon. Loved my make-up and hair. My hairdresser is a wonderful woman, with lots of fun and loved to help also the other women with their hair.

So in the afternoon, he picked me up in a wonderful old car. We did some pics in the afternoon and had dinner with the ones we dearly love. After that, we got married.

In the night we had a big party with our friends and family. With a wonderful band and the biggest surprise for us was the fact that almost everyone was dressed the way we asked them to; Steampunk.

We danced our first dance to the song Caledonia. It's not your typical love song, but we are no typical couple. We loved it and it was played by a band of family/friends. His best friends on the guitar and my sis-in-law with a wonderful voice who did the singing part.

Since our wedding, not much have changed. We are both really busy with working and hopefully we can make some money so we can buy a house.

My hubby's birthday is soon and I'm trying to change the pics every night. (or more after a few nights) The old pics were pics I once placed at the beginning of our relationship and now I am changing them to pics of our wedding day. Not only us but also friends and family. I placed a pic of what I've done so far on dA.  Photo change 2 by Eszies-Eszie This Wednesday night I will place the final look.

Hopefully, some day, I might have the time to write something again. But I don't see it really happening real soon...

Lots of love,

Within 6 days, there will be a new album from the Amoras 2047 Saga. If you're not from the Benelux or France, you might never have heard about it. Which is a shame actually.

What's it about?

Long story, so I hope you have some time to read it....

It started all with Suske & Wiske. Series of comics about a group of friends who go on adventures. First appearance in 1945 in Belgium newspaper and still growing strong in the Netherlands and Belgium. It is the series I have been collecting since I was ten and I still buy them.

Some few years ago, it all started with an announcement. The announcement that Wiske - one of the main characters - was missing. It even got more mysterious when the press got an invitation for the presentation of Amoras in the form of a mourning card.  It stated that Wiske had died. So, you can imagine what the fans were going through.

After some time, it all got clear. There was going to be a new series with these people with new looks and in a darker setting. Not with the original writer and artist, but two other people who also had earn their marks.

When the first album came, I was curious.
When the last album came and I had finished it, I was kinda mad.

Spoilers! There is no clear ending!

But I love it! Still love the original series, but this was really good too.

So you can imagine how I felt when I heard that they were going to make at least 3 new albums.

These albums take place before Amoras 2047 and some might say even after...

One thing is clear. It's going to be about Lambik (Ambrose) and Krimson, the biggest villain in the series. They know each other longer than the rest know Krimson.

Can't wait to read these new albums. :) Just 6 days left for the newest Amoras: De Kronieken van Amoras, de zaak Krimson...

Ok, it sounds weird, sorry. And just in case you get all enthusiastic about me being pregnant. No, I'm not! Luckily not... I want to fit in my dress in 8 months.

Venue is booked now... Now I need to get in touch with somebody who makes wedding dresses... Can't get hold of anybody somehow... Don't know why.

Sis-in-law is going to organize my last party as a single woman... I'm too curious and too afraid to ask what she has in mind ;P (I trust her, a lot)

First song has been picket, sis-in-law is going to sing it for us, together with some friends who play instruments.

Theme has been picked a long time ago (Steampunk-Doctor Who party)

And other stuff to do before it's too late ;)

So, you might understand why I haven't been able to write some new stories. I did find an old one though and placed it online today. So there is still something new to read for you :)

Anita's Secret - Summer HolidayAnita's Secret
Summer holiday
It was August, which meant that most children were enjoying their summer holiday. That included the lovely Hannah Knight Volt. The seven years old girl was playing in the garden. When it was sunny, Hannah loved to be outside. Certainly when you keep in mind that England mostly doesn't have the luck to have some sun during summer.
“Hannah! Your lemonade is over here!”
Hannah looked up and saw her mother sit down into the shadow. Hannah rushed towards her lemonade and took a sip of it. “Thank you, Mommy.” she said and looked to Anita Volt. “Mommy, when will the baby be born?”
Anita chuckled. “You should wait some two more months, sweetie. And then the baby will be born.” During Valentines Day, Anita found out that she was pregnant. It was a wonderful blessing for the young couple, who were married for almost eight months now.
“When comes Auntie Krista?” Hannah loved her auntie. Being just twelve yea

Besides the planning of my wedding and two jobs, there is something else I've been up to as well.

I have started a massive Dutch fanfiction project. For the next 30 weeks or so (maybe more or less) I will write a small story about what happens behind the scenes of one the most famous comic heroes in the Netherlands and Belgium. But since there are like 300 albums of them already, I've decided to start at number 300 and keep on going until I reached the latest number.

And besides this one, there are a few smaller ones in Dutch as well. It's not that I don't like writing for The Secret Show anymore, but I don't have any ideas for them at this point.

Who knows, maybe in the future, after my wedding, I might find the time and ideas once again to write some new stories.

But I'll be watching this site as much as possible and I won't forget you ;)

Well, Tweede Kerstdag (Boxing Day/second Christmas Day, yes, we got two) is almost over for me.

This year, no surprises like an engagement. Just with families and friends. Actually, Christmas isn't really over for me yet... Lemme explain.

Wednesday 28 dec: Unwrapping gifts, since my sis-in-law and bro-in-law will be back in the country then.
Thursday 29 dec: Going to dinner with family-in-law and friends.
Friday 30 dec: Going to grandparents in Friesland. To celebrate grandma-in-law 80th birthday.
Saturday 31 dec: Back to home; celebrate New Year's Eve with friends. (British bro-in-law wanted to celebrate it in Holland, and we are going to teach him how to light your own fireworks)
Sunday 1 jan: Back to my parents. Wishing new year.
Monday 2 jan: work & going to the cinema with mom.

Enough to do next week.

Well, apearently, I'm not Dutch, but Belgium... Sounds about true enough. If I could, I would move to Belgium. I love their beers and sure love their chocolate. And their langauge!!! Before you think, it's same as Dutch/French, no it is not! It's softer than Dutch.

Finally! I finished Tale of Two Sisters. Writers block kinda still there, but it's finished.

So, maybe time for a new project. I've been doing some fanfics in Dutch with a different fandom. It's one that doesn't really has fanfics, so that will be a wonderful project to work with.

I'm really happy to be writing again. I've been missing it for real.

If someone has a nice idea to do, let me know. Who know's I might do something with it.

Just one warning, I'm not good with lemony stuff. I really can't write that. Tried it once, didn't like it. Still don't.

It's good to be back.

Most of the time, I am not really the luckiest girl on earth when it comes to winning something. (relationship is something different)

But this week, I had the luckiest week of my life.

First of all: I filled in a form for 'Speelgoed van het jaar' (award for the best toys/boardgames this year) There are different categories and you could fill in a form for 12+ category and if you got choosen, you would get the boardgames for free. :D

And this Monday, I learned that I got choosen to test the games and over the course of a few days, I got the games :D

These are the games:
* Skye (Ilse of Skye)
* Colt Express
* Terra
* Escape Room (yes, there is a boardgame about this.
* Codenames

These are games which come from Dutch publishers (sometimes translated from a different language) or Dutch distributors.

And yesterday, I got the news that I won something from Planet Coaster. I can play the Alpha version right now for free!!! Together with my little brother with whom I won this contest!! XD

So I'll be busy playing boardgames and videogames next weeks!! XP

Hiya, hope your summer was awesome this year!

Mine was good, more or less. Worked hard, played not so much. Had 2 weeks of holiday. Went to my parents house when they went away to look after their guinea pig.

Nothing really big happened during the summer. Before summer was a different story. My BF needed someone to help him with the store he works. It was a 2 man job - now it's a 2 mans job and a girls job.
So now I have an 8 hour per week contract. At least it's something.

Before I went on 'holiday', I got a mail from a museum not far away from me. Last year I showed my interest in them, didn't get the job. This year, it's the other way around. They showed interest in me and I took this opportunity. So, this Monday, I'll have a job interview with some other people.

It's not the typical interview. I have to tell something about myself in a different way than usual.  I have to introduce myself with a comparison. It kinda goes like this:
* If I were something eatable, I would be....
* If I was a piece of art, I would be...
* If I was a comic figurine, I would be....
* If I was a machine, I would be...
* If I was a country, I would be...
* If I was a museum, I would be....
* If I was a music instrument, I would be....

And I have to bring an object to the interview and tell something about it in a lively and interacting way....

So, by far, this is gonna be the most interesting job interview I ever got....

Still need to think about the things I would be....... ^^;
