All in all a pretty good episode. Discord's antics were lacking compared to other appearances, but the rest of the case did a good job.

This episode was pretty good, but not great. It was better than MNFBKD, although that's not exactly difficult. I love how Discord still acts as Q to Twilight's Picard and he did it really well in this episode. I don't know what the hell could have possibly happened over that weekend, but maybe I'm better off not knowing – I doubt it would make sense to me anyway. One thing I noticed was that Discord could have EASILY shown Twilight everything that happened by using his powers the same way he did in Return of Harmony Part 2. Of course, I get why he didn't want to do that, but I'm surprised that nobody else suggested it. Maybe the writer forgot as well.
The episode's moral was a good one. Even though it was very similar to the moral from the previous Discord episode, it was also different and since I have been jealous of my friends hanging out with others without me in the past, I could relate to Twilight. I'd missed Twilight going crazy over something she couldn't explain, so that was fun to see again. I don't know if I should be glad or disappointed that she didn't go full Lesson Zero on her friends - it might have been fun, but also quite unrealistic. Like she said herself, she's the Princess of Friendship, she really should know better by now. Then again, princesses aren't perfect and that's why it's so great that Twilight can still learn lessons about friendship, even from Discord.
Zecora made her first appearance in a while and had her first speaking role in an even longer while. I really like Zecora, she needs more screentime. She didn't get to do much, but that's understandable. She clearly can't compete with Discord in the episodes they both appear in, or at least that's the impression I've gotten. Also, now we know that her cauldron is just for show. I guess her potion-making business isn't going too well.
I didn't spot Starlight Glimmer spying on the Mane Six from the bushes, but someone did and when I saw it, I thought it was hilarious. Of course she just happened to be listening in on them when they were talking about time travel. I love the foreshadowing there. Starlight is awfully persistent, she's been waiting for her chance to get revenge for over a year, with two winters between her first meeting with Twilight and now. She needs to get a hobby or something.
I hope Discord will play a part in the season finale as well. Since there will definitely be time travel involved, I believe it's highly likely that we'll get to see all past villains return with no Mane Six to stop them. Way to doom Equestria and yourself, Starlight. Before all that, though, we still have two more episodes to go and I hope they'll be as much fun as this one, but maybe a little more serious too. All that laughing made me a little uncomfortable. 7.5/10.
