Hi, I love your works, and the way you capture the fractal world. I'd love to try playing fractals and to express ideas with the program that you recommended below- Apophysis. I also attached link to some beautifull fractal works, and i was wandered if they have been created with the same programme, or from your expirience, they have been created with different programme / thank you so much for your insperation  luisbc.deviantart.com/art/For-…

sorry for the late reply, the font is called "Av Qest".. no idea where I got it from, but it was either a friend or Photoshop CS :giggle: glad you like it :)

:D Wonderful :) I'm very much in love with the blueprint/drawn look of the background. And the composition is the best.

I think that they really look nice on white background too, that's the exact reason why I love your variations on Charted Waters.. I'm working on some variations of this one right now too :) glad you like it, thanks

Reeeaaally niice :-) I totally agree with the astrological instrument + blueprints for it.

Are you doing everything in Apophysis or did you render more than one fractal and then layer them ontop of each other with something else....?
I hope you don't mind me asking - I'm still new with Apo and always curious

Agree with the above, it does have a "map" feel to it. I also agree with you, I do like this one better than "A Perfect Circle+Tool Medley." Amazingly, it's because of the left/right sides. I really am digging that map kind of look to this.

I have to ask this though, do you create your own gradients? If not, did you by any chance use gradient 287? (I love that gradient and the golds it can produce at times)

I used gradient 577 in this one (the name is actually "Golden" :D), but I rotated it, played with the contrast, brightness and saturation, so it's a little twisted version of 577.. but I've never seen 287 before, it looks like a pretty gradient, I love bright colors on gray.. I might try that in the future :)

I really experimented with the camera mode in this one, the initial flame didn't include the right and left sides to this extent, but I decided that it would look a lot better like this.. I tend to zoom in a lot on most of my flames to get as much detail as possible, but sometimes zooming out can produce good stuff too like in this one :) (I do feel the need to zoom in on this every time I see it though, even though I like the composition, maybe I should render a huge version of this to be able to zoom in whenever I want :D)

This is great! I see it as an astronomical instrument placed on top of the technical drawings for the instrument. Wonderful details and perfect gradient. Really nice work!

glad you like it, I thought the middle part looked like some kind of an instrument too, and the drawing-like feeling was what I was aiming for for the background :) thanks for the comment :)
