Time went by and Jammytimes's belly grew bigger and bigger. It was the first time the young mare was in foal, and Elbdale's owner David already became nervous. The veterinarian he had called to check the mare made an ultrasound and assured that she wasn't carrying twins - but it still seemed that her belly was abnormally big.

"This will be a huge foal. You should keep her in good condition. She'll need all her strength to get it out." said the woman.
Elbdale's staff already had taken Jammytime out for some light dressage exercises during the last months, but the due date was too close now, so Zoey rode Pokerface and lead Jammy, so the mare had some light exercises every day until a few days before birth.

And when the day came, Jammytime did so well! David had called the veterinarian again just in case Jammy needed help, but there was no need to support the young mare. After half an hour of heavy contractions, a healthy colt laid in the straw. He was really a gangly giant and it took him two hours to stand on his soooo long legs!


"Poor little baby - you'll never meet your daddy!", said Zoey sadly when she stroked his tiny head, kneeing beside the tired foal. "But I'm sure he's looking down from heaven, and he's very proud of you!"
David leaned over the box door. "I think he'll be darker when he lost the foal fluzz. His coat color contains this unusal fawn subtone, those foals often get a dark bay color later." He sighed when he looked at the silvery mane and tail. "Too bad he can't be registered in HEWA because of the silver gene. On the other hand, this really makes him special. Who cares about a registration! The most important thing is that he's healthy and talented. And I'm sure he is - with the legendary Seaborn as his sire and the amazing Jammytime as a mother - there are two extraordinary lines united in his blood.", David said beaming with pride.
