Feeling the Storm - Jump 4 by escaped-emotions Feeling the Storm - Jump 4 by escaped-emotions
Jump #4 of #100

I absolutely love summer weather, the heat, the calmness, the humidity... it's wonderful.

But at the same time, I love the days when the wind is strong and the clouds are huge and daunting. I absolutely love going to sleep with a storm brewing outside, when I'm all cosy and warm inside.

So for Jump #4 I thought we'd work on a moody photograph. One of the things I really wanted to do was have a moody sky - as much as possible anyway.

I also wanted to eliminate colour - so although I shot this in colour mode, in my head I refused to process it in colour.

When I think about black and white processing/photographs it gives me a whole load of other things to think about.

For example, if Rosanna had worn a light toned top, she would have faded into the sky! ;)

It's fun to go out with a completely different approach to a photograph.

Did you submit this one in colour?
Not that it matters because it looks so good in monochrome. :)

Nah. If you read my description, I went out with the idea to only come up with a b/w photo. :)
