I wouldn't mind seeing a continuation or reboot of that series. Shame it doesn't look likely right now.

MY sister was totally obsessed with Fruits Basket when it was new. I never watched it, but she says it was great, so I believe her.

A lovely couple to start off! I've been sitting on the dvd for this for ages but haven't gotten around to watching much of it. Oddly, I've gotten further in the fanmade radio drama than the actual series so far. ^^;

Oh you so should wtch it. It's so cute. Tohru is such a great character because she's so optimistic all the time. :)

Oh. I dunno if you saw it, but from now on all my daily drawings and the one shot stuff for Patreon will be inked linearts. All the sequences and YCH's will remain shaded pencil work. :)

This will let me get more commission/Patreon pages done faster. :)

That's pretty cool, I mean the inking alone still shows plenty of detail

Nice detail, did you use Photoshop?

Just for erasing dirt speckles and the like. This was all inked over pencil work and then I erased the pencils.

Would you use ink in a commission? Because I think it'd work nicely with this idea of mine.

Fruits Basket, is it a harem?

"Harem" is overstating it, I think. It can feel like that at the start, but generally harem series have a lot more characters in close proximity and/or interest in the main character. That, and the overarching drama quickly takes precedent over comedic antics. It's a triangle at the very most.

Okay, what qualifies a show as a harem?

One character surrounded by members of the opposite sex who all or most of them want to get with that character. (usually a guy with girls) There tend to be a fair amount of sexy fanservice in them too.

The usual protagonists of Harem anime are nobody nerds, or characters completelty oblivious to the obvious flirting they are getting from all the guys/girls.

I haven't really watched that many to say, but Ken Akamatsu's stuff are the big codifiers of the genre. Things like Love Hina, Negima, Tenchi, Ouran, and ToLoveRu are much closer examples. This may be just my personal bias talking in regards to Fruist Basket though, but it is a lot more subdued there.
