Another gel-pen drawing, started off as a figure and went to fill the whole napkin! :mwahaha: Anyway, the thing I like most about it is the section with fencing and vines. [Side Note: lots of bleeding on the napkin so it's also touched up in photoshop just to get rid of leakage]

Another one of those drawings that evolved through caffeine consumption but I haven't the ability to redo and improve upon. I wasn't trying for composition lines to draw the eye but I'm glad it worked out that way. Thanks!

Thank you. It's the medium that makes this one impressive more than anything else. I wouldn't have been able to erase or correct anyway, done 100% pen.

That was done on a napkin? Thats amazing! You can't erase anything or make any corrections at all when working with such a tough medium!

I'm floored. Very good job!

Why, thank you. I especially appreciate that a person or two digs the image since it took such a long while to scan it properly. You know how much of a bitch it can be to get rid of bleeding & napkin texture-patterns? :P

this reminds me of when I used to play prince of persia all the time.
Very nice. Escpecially so, considering its a napkin drawing.

Thanks. I love and hate gel-pens for that reason. With a ball-point, doing a gradient is pretty simple, with a sharpie, gel-pen or inking-pen you've got to figure out techniques for it. Thanks for the commentary again.

I like how the vertical hatching is used to show shading.

You know, now that you mention it, the stark-whiteness of the buildings in the foreground bug me. I think a nice coat of 40% grey marker could do wonders without having to add pen-shading or colors.

in the spirit o the same stilisation of the fencing, the houses could be more abstract and simplified, contrasty...
the day/night time is kinda weird lighting... still for a napkin piece i shouldnt nitpick :)
critic it cos i like it!
