'E l'occhio ride ma ti piange il cuore...amp

Journal Entry: Thu May 24, 2012, 4:34 PM

"Si rincorrono i ricordi
come cani in un cortile
tu nemmeno te ne accorgi
come un fesso vorrei farti innamorare,
no ti prego non andare,
se puoi rimani
fino a domani

qui, vestita da bambina,
prigioniera, vuoi scappare
da una perfida regina,
il tuo principe immortale,
non so dirti una parola,
non ho niente di speciale,
ma se ridi vuol dire che una cosa la so fare,
se mi lancio in un'aiuola,
casco e non mi faccio.. [male]

E l'occhio ride ma ti piange il cuore,
sei così bella ma vorresti morire,
sognavi di essere trovata
su una spiaggia di corallo
una mattina dal figlio di un pirata,
chissà perché ti sei svegliata?"

Cesare Cremonini, Il comico…

(memories chase each other/ like dogs in a courtyard/ you don't even realise/ like a fool I'm trying to make you fall for me/ no please, don't go/ if you can, stay/ till tomorrow/ here, dressed like a child, prisoner, you want to escape/from the evil queen,/your immortal prince,/I can't tell you a single word/ I am nothing special/but if you are smiling, it means that I've got some talent after all/ if I jump off a flower bed/ and fall, i don't get...[hurt]/ and my eyes smile but my heart cries/ you are so beautiful but you'd like to die/ you dreamed of being found/in a coral beach/one morning, by a pirate's son/who knows why you woke up?)

Been away for a while, huh?

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 25, 2012, 8:03 AM

I know, recently I've neglected my Deviant art account but this doesn't mean i'm not drawing. Actually I'm working on a book project, although I can't show these illustrations at the moment. Yet,one of these illustrations has been already published on DA (… )and I'm going to show also the cover book as soon as i get it done.

I'm really slow because I am also busy with my teaching job at the school (wich, despite all the problems, I like very much), and it takes so much time to plan the lessons, especially when you don't have a book to follow (it's an afternoon class for students who have fallen behind) and the anarchy and disorganziation domain in the school! U_U I get so angry everytime! Two weeks ago I found out (and I am glad I did! Becasue apparently no one was going to tell me) that the students are going to take the trinity exam level 2 and not level 1 as planned (a "mistake" attributed to the school U_U tsk...when this kind of tstuff happens I'm reminded that I'm back to Italy! U_U). So now more work to come U_U (for me and for the students). However, I'm really happy that also the most disruptive students are making some progress. :)

En-i-ways, enough with school stuff as this isn't even the right place to discuss it. I hope I will be able to draw more things just to keep my deviantart account up-to-date and...

I hate racists!

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 4, 2012, 6:27 AM

I found this in a deviant's journal and I could but share it too:

A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man.

Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.

"What's the problem, Miss?" the hostess asked her

"Can't you see?" the lady said - "I was given a seat next to a black man. I can't seat here next to him. You have to change my seat"

- "Please, calm down, Miss" - said the hostess "Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I'm still going to check if we have any."

The hostess left and returned some minutes later.

"Madam, as I told you, there isn't any empty seat in this class- economy class. But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn't any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class."

And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued:

"Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class. However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person."

And turning to the black man, the hostess said:

"Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class..."

And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet.

HELP! Deviantart is being dumb!!!

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 14, 2012, 10:28 AM

Deviantart has cancelled one of my prints without apparent reason. I had to resubmit a print that I had edited some days ago, plus it doesn't allow me to change the royalties percentage (it keeps being 20% although I change the number and click on "update"). Finally, I have been notified only now about a sale that have been processed on 11 March (I have got a notification after three days!?)  Does anybody know what the hell is going on? Thank you for your help!

Une semaine francaise! :D

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 11, 2012, 3:03 PM

This was one of the best holidays ever!!! I went to Paris with my sister and a friend and we went to Disneyland too! :D :D :D

It was so much fun and I got to meet many disney characters! LOL! :D I believe everybody around there thought we were crazy since we were the sole adult group who queued to get photos with the characters and eat at Mickey café to get more photos with them! :D :D :D I had on a big hoodie featuring Chip (Chip and Dale) and when Chip (the "real one) saw it was really really amused! :D :D :D :D :D He stopped at our table for a while and made fun of us (and we did of him too)!HAHAHA! :D :D :D OH Y GOD IT WAS SO SUPER FUN!!!

After Disneyland we went throguh a sort of "tour de force" to visit the best of Paris in two days, it was super tiring but worth it! I think French people never got to see such a noisy small tourist group around Paris...(well, French are not so different from Italians noise-wise, though!) LOL! :D Finally, now that I'm home I've had a kind of French related little gift: the English actress Caroline Horton left a comment on my page and this was such a great honour for me! I made this artwork  : Chrissy by Ermy  as homage to her wonderful play "You're not like the other girl, Chrissy"! :) the play is still on tour in Engand and I definetely recommend it to everyone: it's a perfect mix of love and humour! It's the most poetic love story I've ever seen and is set between England and France (I wrote a little review about it in my blog too at this… ) ! And it's a true story!

Thank you again to Caroline for having created such a wonderful show and thank you to her grandmother for having shared it! And, last but ot the least, thank you to Paris that is a city that has been inspiring such great stories since ever!

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 15, 2012, 11:43 AM

...i've got very good and exciting news! Do you remember the group show Illustra Pinocchio featuring all the winners of the contest organised to celebrate Pinocchio 130's birthday (a little help? At this…)? Well, it has had such a great success that the Istituto per i Beni Marionettistici e il Teatro Popolare (City of Grugliasco) in collaboration with Pablo Neruda Municipal Library, Davico Art Gallery e Antonio Attini Publishing have organised a new art show with all the 50 artists featured in the previous Illustra Pinocchio art show. But there's more: the new art show called 50 artisti per Pinocchio will be hosted in the Gianduja Museum along with an exclusive exhibition of the most beautiful Pinocchio illustrated editions owned by the Pablo Neruda Municipal Library!

The show is inaugurated on the 17th of February and will continue until Febraury 26th.

I'm really excited because this will be my first group show in a museum!!! :D I'm just a bit disappointed because I wil not be able to be there for the inauguration but if you are around Turin or Grugliasco, do not hesitate to have a look. The entry is free. More info at… have a look at my facebook page at

Stay tuned!

New year resolution

Journal Entry: Tue Jan 24, 2012, 11:29 AM

I got ONE and ONLY ONE new year resolution, and it's a big and important one: GO AWAY FROM HOME (POSSIBLY AWAY FROM ITALY U_U)

If I don't get to do this, you will only see a frustrated Ermy for the next years to come! :D

Though I have got a job now, it's temporary (and ITALIAN!) and  I am still spending my days sending out applications for other jobs. This is why I have had less time for drawing. :( I am also working on some personal projects in tandem with a French author, but I can't show anything about this at the moment.

May God help me through this dark stage of my life.

Wish me luck, I will need lots of it!

The little vernissage was organised for the 60 winners (so 60 artworks showacased) of the contest "Illustra Pinocchio" (Let's illustrate Pinocchio) to celabrate Pinocchio's 130 birthday. Click on the photo below to see all the photos of the vernissage and find out more about the show. It was flipping exciting and I enjoyed been there a lot, :D I hope you'll enjoy the article too!

News News News!

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 18, 2011, 4:31 AM

Hello everybodyyyy!!!! :D hope you are spending nicely these Christmas holidays. This is obviously my favourite time in winter and this year's one has been very busy. I hope I can update with a new Christmas related illustration I'm working on. Apparently, I've got a job  (OMG! I've got a a job?! seriously???:XD:) so I will have less time from now on, but fortunately the job is not full time (I've been appointed a teaching post in English but it's just for few hours per week...which is good -and quite scary too!!!). :3 So, here we go with today's news:

Let me remind you of my giveaway (all the rules can be found in the earlier journal post at this… . You have only two more days to enter it, so if you want, do it now! :D

I've been interviewed by Kristina Gi Photography in her blog space "raccontandosi", here it is the link… . In the interview is also presented a little coloration tutorial by me; however everything is in Italian, but i'll try to translate it in English as soon as possible. THANK YOU KRISTINA GI PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THIS NICE IDEA! :)

Finally, I also want to remind you of the art exhibition celebrating Pinocchio's 130 birthday for which I've been selected. I will be there (along with one of my artwork! :D) from 27th to 29th December at Davico Gallery in Turin.  So, if you are around, pop in! More details about this soon to come! :)

Aaaand that's all folks! See you in three days when the winner of my giveway will be proclaaaaaaaimed!

Joyful Christmas holidays everybody >>>… <3
