Nice composition and the characters are placed well. They actually look as though they are standing in the picture not just floating in front of a background ( which is all to easy to do with a flat stylised background like this ). Overall I like the colours you have chosen but I think that the white on the necklace and shirt is a bit overpowering. I feel perhaps that an off white or very very light blue would create a more harmonious picture and not distract from the story the picture is telling as much.
