Another example that's actually a section of paper tablecloth. Drawn at an alumni get-together.

Things in green are things that were on the table (or worn by the person across from me) at the time. The girl in red is my first attempt at drawing Miranda -- I had no reference picture and hadn't even studied her that closely, but I felt like taking a shot at it anyway.

Purple is a dogwood flower, a butterfly, and Kara Lynn. The reaching hand is Anthy; the grinning face is a Shakespearean trickster. The little person in the corner is a Mii -- there were people playing Wii Bowling in the next room.

Oh, I'm loving Miranda and her little smile. :) The dogwood is great, too! :D

If you ever visit Austin, I'll take you to the Boiling Pot (cajun-style seafood). They use large pieces of wax paper on the tables and provide crayons for doodling.
