What Has Been Lost

I did this piece as a depiction of the opening words introducing the world of my Dungeons & Dragons campaign:

There is emptiness in the world.
Silence, where once there was laughter.
Darkness, where once there was light.
A song made hollow, now an elegy for what has past.
We elves can feel it, but not even we can recall what has been lost.
