A thing I noticed while reading LotR again

It's not all that surprising, really, the thing I noticed. I just realised I've always liked Dwarves better than Elves. Heaven knows why. I just do. I guess Dwarves are easier to relate to than Elves.And seeing The Hobbit did not have any impact on this, noooo.

Why is it that my favorite characters always die?

Downton Abbey season 3 episode 5 came out in Finland today. My favorite character, lady Sybil, died of childbirth complications.Adding yet another character to the Club of Deceased Favorite Characters.Why is it that every time I get attached to a character they have to die? Am I some kind of "oh, they're gonna end up dead as the story goes on" magnet? It's kinda frustrating.Anyway, now I know what it must feel like to lose someone close to you. Because I loved Sybil.
