Matching - Amelia and Aiden

This one's a bit spoilery, but since I've started hinting at this couple, I figured I'd go ahead and allow my muse to go to town with them. I've been itching to draw them lately, and I figured...what the hell? I hadn't wanted to do it before Aiden 'joined' the North coven, but since he has, I can now.

I sort of forget which story I started my love with Aiden, although I do remember the scene. It was the first time he walked to Ryan, and I think it was with the version before this one. It's the main reason I decided to make him a sympathetic character in this version rather than evil (and then made Nik to replace his old version - and made sure not to fall in love with him). It was this love of Aiden that made me decide that he and Amelia should get together in the end, because I felt like he needed some happiness (and I had taken away his girlfriend...and made her boyfriend her brother. It's complicated, and makes sense in my head.)

As for Amelia, I sort of played around with potentially having her end up with Henry instead, what with all the tormenting she gave the poor guy. I thought it would have been funny if in the end, after giving him so much trouble, she ended up with him, but I had planned Amelia and Aiden since day one. There's actually a hint of in the first book, where she comments that he's sort of cute as she's sitting on him (and he pretty much let's her pwn him because he's sort of struck by her). Henry was added to the cast after the end of the first book when I was thinking of how these vampire guys tell their human girlfriends that they would sit back if they were ever to fall in love with someone else. I had been thinking...well, what if that actually happened when I created Henry.

But enough about Henry. >.< I sort of feel sorry for Aiden because he doesn't know what's about to hit him. He's sort of looking worried here because he knows he's going to be walking on thin ice for quite a while after what he's done to the North coven, but he's also worried because he doesn't quite know what to make of Amelia. He came to them expecting them to hate him, and he's one of them befriending and crushing on him instead. Amelia tends to have that effect on people, anyway. (Not to worry; he does actually love her. He's just confused by her at first.)

Surprisingly, I actually matched her to him rather then the other way around. Mostly because her sense of style would translate well into male. Hee. She still has the boots, though, so that makes up for it.

Over all, I think they make a cute couple, and I do have to say I feel sorry for Aiden. Not because he has to keep up with Amelia, but because she has a ridiculously overprotective brother he'll have to deal with now. Poor, poor guy.

Interesting fact: these two are the only other dual-species couple I have (not including the werewolves). Everyone else is paired up with someone fro their own species. Meanwhile, back in the old version, there was only like two couples that were of the same species. Weird...and like I said, interesting. thought I'd point that out.

This one doesn't have an old version, since Amelia and Aiden weren't a couple in the old version. However, here's the one I did base it on: Version 1 (and I honestly can't tell which one's better; the style is better in this one, but the posing's better in the old one.
