Yet another for the series I'm doing to flesh out the individual galleries for this story. This time it's Phoebe, Psyche's middle sister.

I always think it's funny with Phoebe how she ended up, because she really was supposed to be a mini Penny, going so far that the two only barely got along. But when I actually started writing this story, she became less vicious, and more airheaded than anything else. Like her sister, she strives to keep up appearances, but she tends to take on attributes of those around her more so than anything else. So when she's around Penny, she's mean and nasty to everyone, but when she's by herself, she can come off as somewhat normal.

At least until she remembers she's supposed to hate Psyche, then she'll try to act like her niceness was just an act to get her defenses down. Sadly, this usually works, since Psyche desperately wants sister who actually care about her.

Phoebe's 'goddess' dress actually turned out rather cute, if you look past the shortness. I see her as taking the 'Greek goddess' motif to heart, looking for the sluttiest Halloween costume version she could find, and Greeking it up. It's red rather than white because red is her color, but you get the point. She's so cute sometimes. And she's rather pretty, actually. She'd be a lot more likeable, even with the trashy clothes, if she had a slightly better personality, methinks. Gives me a little bit of a clue as to why Nate likes her, though.

Wow, Phoebe actually looks almost pretty here, even with the revealing clothes. I could stand the short skirt or the low neckline, if the other end wasn't quite so revealing (so short hemline/high top or low neckline/longer hemline), but together it's a bit…much. But Phoebe still looks great here! Out of the two, she's definitely the more likeable, and if you assume they're (as you've said) one person in two bodies, then Phoebe is definitely the nicer attributes of the person, while Penny's the negative ones.

It's funny how she turned out in story, since I remember that in the early stages of planning, she was basically going to be a younger Penny in terms of personality, but she somehow managed to develop her own personality. Granted, she's not too bright to begin with, but the fact that she sort of takes on the personality traits of those around her, chameleon-style, is interesting. Also kind of sad, since I don't know if she's doing that to fit in or what, but it's clear that when she's free from the influence of Penny, she can be a semi-decent human being. Maybe not the brightest one, but a nicer person than she normally is. That does make Nate's attraction to her a little bit more understandable, though I wonder how he manages to deal with her changing personalities.

Haha, I love how she apparently would take the whole Greek goddess notion to heart. Sure, she's a slutty goddess, and this is more the Hollywood/modern version rather than anything the ancients actually wore, but she has enthusiasm! You can't beat that, especially since I don't think her big sis has quite as much enthusiasm for dressing up. And like I've said before, red looks really good on her (and Penny too, but she seems to wear it more). The gold accents are a nice touch too, because red and gold go together nicely. I also really like the lacing on the front of her dress (corset?) since it might not be ancient, but it's pretty. >.>

Poor girl. If you could get her away from Penny she might do all right, but she's never away from Penny! But she looks cute here, even if she is ignorant.
