Cosmic Star

This started off as just a Thing I had started to do with the other two stories, where I draw Nova with her superhero forms and blah blah. In Superhero, though, she loses the Swift Star persona because she reveals to everyone that she's been Cosmic Star the entire time, so that wouldn't really work because it'd just be two forms rather than three like the others.

My original idea was to basically redo the first one of these...sort of. Have the original Cosmic Star and the original Swift Star and the new Cosmic Star in the middle. But at the same time...it was weird. Why was Swift Star there other than just because I wanted to see if I had improved on drawing it after almost five years?

And then I had an idea after I finished it...Cosmic Star does have a third costume. Nova had been Cosmic Star for four years prior to blowing herself up and 'dying'. but most people don't know about the first year she was a hero, back when she was sixteen, trying to figure things out, and absolutely had a thrown together costume! I should do that version of her costume instead of Swift Star!

So I fixed things up and now we have this, lol. It makes a lot of sense, since these are three very different Cosmic Stars.

The one flying is the main version, the one who had been around the longest and the one everyone fell in love with. I absolutely love this costume, but I don't really see Nova opting for a bodysuit or to really wear this again, sadly. Its honestly the wig, I think. She looks like a superhero, though, in this version. She also looks very mature,, although she's 17-20 while wearing it.

The one flexing is, as I said, the first version when she was sixteen and starting off. She wore a hood because she didn't have the googles until a bit later, and she wanted to hide her identity. I love that her hair was completely different in high school than now, which makes it surprising anyone she went to school with recognizes her. She reuses the shirt as Swift Star because she knows no one remembers this version of her, but it holds a special place in her heart.

The one with the glowing hands is the current version, where she doesn't have to hide herself anymore. (She still wears the googles because she's far-sighted and actually needs them. Who would actually go into a superhero fight wearing glasses?) She combined elements of both her forms for this with the hoodie and the not jumpsuit. She probably took what she liked from both or something. The hair isn't dyed, but rather a special nano-technology that allows for her hair to be temporarily colored. (Basically, she looked wrong without the blue hair, but I didn't want it to be dyed or blue as Nova, so I came up with a bullshit way her hair is blue, lol.)

They're also displaying three of her four main powers, since I can't really show speed - flying, super strength, and light manipulation. I thought it was a neat way to show it.

Turned out nice.
