Examples of good stock sites

Please note that this list is meant to give an overview of available stock sites that we would recommend to use, but it is in no way meant to be complete, and we do not take responsibility for the legitimacy of every photo uploaded on these websites. We recommend that you check the rules of every stock photo you download there and the specific Terms of Use (ToU) of the website.
The following list is divided into several subsections, paid and free stocks, and attribution required or not required.***
What does attribution mean exactly? It basically says that you're obliged to credit the stock provider whenever you use their stock in your work.

Active photomanip groups

You are running a photomanip group or you are a member of an active one that you want us to include in this list? Please let me know! Note: this list is photomanipulation only!

thanks you,

For me, I don't have a credit card to download to shutterstock what I like the most! I'm disappointed ... I only get free images.

Hi, no problem. There's a section with free stock sites that you can use. Also, you can check this updated article for new websites: Stock sites, tutorials and photomanip groups

Thank you for taking the time to compile this list, it must not have been easy!
But a lot of the 'free' websites are actually kind of useless to me.. They do not have what I'm looking for and then refer me to premium websites.. I can't afford to pay for that.
This is not your fault of course, but I'm just putting it out there! Others did have good stock photos for me, so it's just a matter of finding the right one. It is frustrating though.

Also, keeps getting blocked by Malwarebytes, and keeps crashing on me for some unknown reason.

hey, thanks for the comment! The list is probably quite outdated since I don't regularly follow trends for new stock websites and didn't update this post in a while. I recommend following CRPhotomanipulation in case this article ever gets an update (I won't be the one posting it).

That group is actually how I found this!

cool! Regarding photomanipulation news and resources it's probably the number 1 place to be. I can also recommend Art-Revival and Stewed-Tomatoes. The latter hosts a lot of beginner-friendly contests.

I'm glad it's useful and thanks to Lolita-Artz for referring :D
I think any of these stock sites should be fine for general use on dA. I cannot make guarantees for all groups since they might have specific rules, but I think you'll be on the safe side. :)
