Kaiju Concept 8

I’m trying to go for a sort of crab-centaur build, which was popularized by a certain Destroyah redesign but I wanted to give it a fearsome warrior’s appearance rather than just a monstrosity. I think it can be done, but this is obviously going to take a few attempts and revisions.

Development nickname: Desley

This one has kind of the proud warrior guy personality, prefers one on one and doesn’t like to take advantage of enemy accidents or runs of bad luck.
I was thinking I’d give him some kind of cutting weapon on one arm and a limited use projectile one on the other. It might be redundant after the ‘organic harpoon’ idea from earlier, but I’m kind of thinking that with a large enough cast there’s just going to be some redundancy. I’m having a hard time making it work out though. The assembly in the big picture is kind of interesting looking, but it’s definitely too big and awkward a thing for one limb.
It may be better just to make his limbs match and have each of them have a big bladed weapon, maybe they both light up with energy for extra cutting. Maybe I could keep the detachable spines that grow back on his back and he throws them like javelins.
