One cannot truly understand the beauty of ice caves until one visits them. The melting patterns are just unbelievable, and the ice itself is infinitely intricate, holding within it a myriad of shapes and colors. Once you get to the staring phase - you don't even mind the cold :-)

If you'd like to experience and shoot these amazing natural wonders, among many other incredible icy sceneries, you're welcome to join my upcoming 'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop taking place January 2013.
Please click the link for more details, and contact me with any questions about the workshop.

Please check out my Iceland winter gallery for more icy landscapes!

You are also welcome to follow my Facebook page, where you can get a first look at my images, as well as get all the info about my work, photo tours and other news.

I have been in one recently. You are right, even if this photo is phantastic, one gets just a faint impression of what it is like to be in an ice cave... But looking at your picture brings back the feelings, I had, walking through the glacier.. :)

Oh wow, those are way bigger than the ice caves I've visited. I always did like the "chipped glass" structure of ice melt in the caves.

Dear Deviant-friend!!!
I try to make a new group, which contains ONLY REALLY GOOD ART, and to the favourites of the group I choosed your works also. I collect every kind of Art without restrictions. Different styles, different ages, different messages...
Please look the favourites of the Group, ( reallyartists.deviantart.com/f… ) and if you like the style, step into the group!!! It don't want to be a big group, only a little place, where you can feel well...
Don't forget to watch the group !!!
With best regards: Ágnes Fodor Astarot, founder of the ReallyArtists group

Wow... I can just barely wrap my mind around these frozen undulations. It really does seem to be a world of its own in there... vast and yet introspective in a way.
