joy spring, ecstasy by equivoque joy spring, ecstasy by equivoque
stilll waters, ice floats, and a warm spring evening on lake superior. tried to capture the blueness of the evening without using a color image. forgot my sx-70 and time-zero. mainly post-processed using lightroom. the gimp this time, too.

needs full view.

A wonderful landscape in itself, wonderfully composed, but with the element of the lonesome bird it makes it a remarkable image.

This is simply breathtaking. I cannot wait to see the ice break up this year...though I suppose the lake has to freeze first...

this is gorgeously in its simplicity

the lone bird scaling the clouds above the sea...

the colors that match accordingly ... so beautiful

oh, it was an awesome (in the original sense of the word inspiring awe) moment. don't you hate when good descriptors are ruined by common usage and slang? ;-)

I do... and when I use 'awesome' here on dA, I usually mean it in the 'inspiring awe' sense. I don't think most people know it is such a huge compliment. :D... and not just a tossed off phrase.

I'm often stumped for a good word to use for intao's 'separated at birth'. It just blows me away completely that he is able to do that and with such astonishingly good shots too.

yes, it is a grand word, and that evening was so awesome that i felt a little guilty using my camera.

as for the separated at birth, you could do it too. i find them all the time, and sometimes give them to him to use. it's like remembering faces. ;-)

I have thought about doing them..but since he does them so well, it seems like stealing an idea. But perhaps I'll try one in honor of him (and you, I now find out!). (the sep at bir)

every emotion -- every piece of freedom we seek -- exists in this moment -- like the tones -- and framing -- later days
