Description
In the days before the ubiquitous RGB backlights visible everywhere, more subtle forms of decorating laptops were used to stand out in order to give them an individual character. Some time ago I managed to buy this extraordinary machine at a flea market for PLN 80 (around $20). It immediately caught my eye with its decorations on the screen flap and despite the lack of RAM, disk and battery, I decided to buy it and refresh it to the state visible in the photos.
Manufactured in 2010, the HP Pavilion DV6-3011SO has quite powerful parts for those years - M in 2 core AMD Turion II P520 processor, 2 graphics cards - integrated with the AMD Radeon 4200 series chipset and a separate dedicated AMD Radeon 5650 with its own 1 GB VRAM memory, a glossy screen with a resolution of 1366x768, a 720p camera and Windows 7 Home Premium on board, allows you to enjoy convenient multimedia support and older games from that period even today. After adding a 500 GB SSD drive to the laptop, upgrading it to 8 GB RAM and adding a battery, it is a good material for portable retro gaming equipment from the era of XP to Windows 7
Finally, an interesting fact about the last photo - although the illuminated HP logo on the lid may suggest copying Apple devices, it is actually a completely separately illuminated element, independent of the screen compared to Apple.
