Jally's sire is a Belgian-bred Zangersheide who comes from a line of specialised international jumpers. Taloubet had a stellar career, earning €2million in prize-money across 105 CSI5* starts, 45 World Cup competitions, 26 international victories, 9 Championships and medals at Olympic, European and World Cup finals. Galoubet jumped to international Grand Prix level, having already won the five-year-old championships at Fontainebleu, and was cemented as a jumping sire after retiring to stud at just 10 years old, producing multiple Olympic gold medallists and World Cup champions.

Jally's dam needs no introduction - the 3* Dutch jumper is the last of SLS's breeding picks from their much-loved HCL era. Her fiery nature proved to not obscure her talent as she grabbed a podium spot twice during a very competitive season. She also won twice in cross country at Halloweeny shows.

Character

Even though there were efforts to consciously pick a pairing to that would cancel out Mary's fire while maintaining a capable jumper, Jally ended up being a handful from birth. She specialises in winding up other horses and finds their reactions hilarious. As long as she is awake, everyone else is, too.

She is best managed when handled quickly: move her from place to place with no time for distractions; all hands on deck to get her tack on; keep her active.
