We welcome artists of all skill-levels, you don’t have to be the next Rembrandt or Stephen King to be welcomed into this group; all that you need is art of an ‘Epic OC’ and a pleasant disposition! We want to be a friendly, supportive group where people will feel welcomed and respected. Only members are allowed to submit art.
What makes an OC ‘Epic?’ Well, that would be you! As stated before, we accept artists from all skill-levels but we only accept high quality OC’s with available information about an actual background, a purpose, a personality and character development. It does not have to be your own OC. If you have made a piece of art that features a member’s OC; that is fine. As long as you have had the owner’s permission (obviously!) to make it, we will certainly welcome it!
What does not belong here? OC’s without an actual background, purpose, personality and character development. No one-shot work OC’s, spin-offs of other people’s OC’s, effortless work and OC’s that are ‘going to be epic soon as you came up with everything.’
The Featured folder: is reserved for works that are selected by the admins. You cannot upload anything here yourself, but do not worry; we’ll make sure it gets filled!
Please make sure you upload your work in the correct folders. It makes life a lot easier for the group's admins and it saves you the trouble from re-offering declined submissions.
Mature Art: is acceptable. But make sure, very sure, it's submitted to the appropriate folders! Not everyone is comfortable (or legal) in viewing mature content or erotic art. So please be respectful to your fellow-members and admins by placing your Mature Art in the correct folders or it will be declined! We do not accept mature works that feature (or leave behind the impression) minors, animals, abusive and incestious content and we do not accept mature art through screenshots.
Mythical Creatures and Beasts: Not only humanoids make epic OC’s. Dragons, unicorns, griffins, ponies and non-humanoid fursona’s are welcomed here!
Setting the Scene: Landscapes, cities and interiors that show us the world of your OC. This is the only other folder where (high quality) screenshots are allowed.
OC Companions: this group is about your ‘Epic OC’ but sometimes you want to show off their friends, companions or lovers. Here you can upload NPC’s and other existing characters that are linked to your OC but do not show him or her in the work itself. No screenshots.
Screenshot Art: is welcomed. But please make sure it is artistic and shows more than just your ability to locate the F12. We love to see quality screenshots of your OC. Free of cursors, crosshairs and health-bars. Violence is allowed, sexual content is not.
Character Creation Template and Dress Up Game OC's: OC Art created with 2d & 3D Character Creation/Dress up Templates such as Daz or other Dress up games or software. If you have created your own character from scratch in 3D in Maya, Blender, 3DS Max or other 3D Software, that can be added to the 'Digital Art' folder.
OC Cosplay: A place for you to show yourself Cosplaying as your OC!
Rules of Engagement
Respect your fellow-members and the group’s admins.
Respect the decisions made by the group’s admins.
Want to get banned? Trolling, bashing, flaming, deleting your art and resubmitting constantly, art theft, high-jacking other people’s work and being rude or disrespectful to either members or staff will ensure you of that. But please, just don’t.
Commissioned OC Art
If a member has commissioned an Artist to illustrate their OC, we would prefer you to submit the original artwork from the Artist's Deviant Art Gallery rather than submitting it from your own. If a member has arranged an agreement with the artist to upload it from the members gallery (rather than original artist), we will accept it. However, we will not allow a double submission if the original artists then decides to submit to the group.
Commissioned Artwork will not be accepted in a contest unless it is the original artist who submits it as an entry.
More often than not we have to decline Adoptables as they don't meet our requirements as an OC. Please check if your Characters fit within our OC guidelines before you submit.
