Come now, weary travellers; I have a tale to tell.
A creation story from long ago, so please listen well!

Before the sun was as it is today; a very bright, very brilliant orb of pure light that all beings of shadow abhor, it was nothing more than a sphere of light cast up by the demigod Avohkii every day to light up the Island of Okoto just so life can live as it should. It was a very timid light, not too bright, not too dim. And that's exactly the way Avohkii and his two wives, both born of shadow, liked it. The three had led their two sons through their childhood, and when they came of age, it was time for them to hunt in their parents' places.
