Heya,
just wanted to say that I have about 10 BlueSky invite codes that I'll give out to people, first and foremost to artists I follow if enough people ask :)
Just send me a DM or post a comment under this journal and I'll see what I can do. If there aren't any left I'll update this journal again!
OH MY GOD FINALLY THEY ADDED A "AI MUTE" OPTION ON DA!!!!
If the ONLY reason why you're on DA is to upload AI art that isn't even tagged properly then please kindly f off, thx 💀
Well, guess I'm using the Journal feature again for a bit of a rant...
Been occasionally browsing the main page of DeviantArt to find some new artists to follow and fav some pictures along the way, but as of today I've lost every single ounce of motivation to do so thanks to AI generated art...
Now, don't get me wrong cause from a technical standpoint I love AI generated stuff, it's amazing to think how far we've come in just the recent few years. I'm astonished how well a lot of art pieces look and how well AI models by now understand what's important in a picture to make it look "natural", and I'm also quite excited to see how far this will go in the future still...
... HOWEVER ...
... the people who try to "sell" their art as Non-AI, not telling the viewer that you're currently looking at an AI generated image right away via, as example, tags or saying so in their Bio/Description is what puts me off so much. I can quite confidently tell when it's AI art, but at times you look at something and need multiple seconds to realize it isn't actually a drawn piece... just to further realize the user didn't mark it properly with tags (if at all) and doesn't even say on their profile that all the art they've uploaded is exclusively just generated...
It's those few that spoil the rest, and even tho I enjoyed discovering new art by looking at the front page of DeviantArt this ends for me today. I loved finding new artists to watch, following them on Twitter and where ever else they might be on, faving pictures and even commenting on how well they look occasionally.
Thanks Wixx, thanks DeviantArt, thanks to all the investors and shareholders for ruining a platform that, just a few years ago, despite being an outdated looking website and had it's fair share of issues was still one of the better communities I've come across over the years with its own unique charm behind it...
Thanks for nothing...
Discord disabled my account out of nowhere and now won't re-enable it anymore, and no matter what I try no actual human is looking at my support case... it always gets closed by "Clyde", their automated E-Mail ticket bot.
Please watch and share this video around in the hopes of getting in contact with an actual human at the Discord Support to properly talk about this... thanks.
