BlogIn addition to what I post here, I will be posting WIPs and upcoming projects on my blog. I have two separate blogs for two related, but vastly different interests of mine.
"The Paradox" is oriented toward my art. I will post works in progress (WIPs) and various pieces that are related to my story-writing. I will post decent WIPs here on dA, but I will post more progression on my blog.
"The Parable" is primarily focused on my story-writing. I will have more things as I go along, however I have plenty of ideas floating around in my head. The stories I write will have a great influence over my art and I will post related images in each entry.
ShopAs an artist and a college student, I am cursed with a low financial standing. Given that I am a pragmatic individual, the long-term is my main focus. Therefore, I will have commissions open, but I also have a shop.
DeviantArt is a great place for recognition, however it is not particularly great in terms of income. In that regard, I have opened a CafePress account and ask my supporters to support me through there as well as commissions. All of my income from the art community will be going toward my education.
My Online Store
DonateSo you like my art, but you don't feel like you want a commission. Still, I'm affable enough that you want to support me. Would a donation to me go toward a good cause? Yes.
Support My Education
I have been striving toward my veterinary career all of my life. It has been my dream since I was a little girl and continues to this day. I am a hard worker in both college and my job, but the small wage I earn as a tutor is not enough.
This year, I am 1 of 32 students in a competitive Veterinary Technician program. I was accepted last month and have been excited ever since, and I plan to move to the city this June. My education costs approximately $30,000, so I'm not going to be unwise.
All of the money I earn from commissions and my store will be going toward my education, no exceptions. All donations from you will be put toward this investment in my future. Any and all support is appreciated.
CommissionI will announce when commissions are open. They are currently on hold until I can maintain a consistent schedule.
If you want to commission me, I will need a bit of information in order to ensure your satisfaction. I will need an accurate and concise description of your desired piece in a note. I will not begin your order until a payment has been received. Please allow up to two weeks for completion.

My name is Lenore, Sin, or Vienna depending on how close we are. To the art and writing community, I am Lenore. I am currently about to graduate with my Associate of Science and will soon be transferring to a Veterinary Technician program to earn my Associate in Applied Sciences. My dream is to become a veterinarian.
With such a scientific focus, I'm sure it's a bit counterintuitive that you find me here in the arts. The art world is filled with interesting people and I am something of a student of human nature. You will often find me writing stories with deeply psychological themes and may rarely find me writing or creating works related to animals. Happiness is rarely the subject of my works and animals are a major source of happiness for me. This is an odd, but good thing.
I am usually inspired by darker muses and will typically display a cynical or misanthropic view of the world. I find these to be powerful feelings and creating beautiful things out of them is often my focus
I'm baaaaack! So that was about a year later than I planned. LOL
So I'm back and I have set everything in motion. I have set up donation accounts, not for begging, for legitimate causes for those who care to take a peek. c:
My goal this year is to work every day on one piece, and thus far it's been very good for me. I'm taking 18 semester hours, so a break from academia and epithelial cells is good from time to time.
Still, there's more to set in motion and new spins I want to create on old pieces. Over all, it's great to be back. Thank you Pokie, Fable, and Brandon for your support! You have been great. <3
Guest artists for my CS Spiritus Oris 2019
[EDIT: CLOSED OFF APPLICATIONS]
Its been what, months since I opened my first guest artists slots, now its finally time to do this again~
I love seeing what designs other people come up with!
I'd love to give more chances and opportunities especially for those who didn't have a chance to be guest artist the first time
(though if you entered the first time you can still apply~)
Also you should read everything carefully, since I've hidden a keyword on here and you must add it somewhere in your comment when applying for guest artist slot, otherwise I won't approve your application until the keyword is included.
This time there will be a set date, once it expires it means you are not allowed to make any more Spiritus Oris adoptables

Quick Tips for Improving Your WritingThis guide is for people who are trying to become better writers (those who want to get published). This is not for people who write only to express themselves; while thats a valid reason to write, this is not the guide for them.
This is long, but I call this 'quick tips' because they're a distillation of what I've learned in the last couple of years.
I. Non-writing steps
Read. Read poetry, read novels, read non-fiction. Read newspapers. Read non-fiction. Read about different time periods. Read literary theory and criticism. Read critiques other people have left on writing on dA. Read some prose and all poetry out loud and listen to the effects of sound. The more you read, the more you will know, and the more you will notice clichés, which will make it easier to avoid them.
Pay attention in English class. A bad teacher is no excuse to sl

The Breaking Point: End-stopping and EnjambmentIntroduction
The most noticeable difference between poetry and prose is often the use of line breaks in poetry. When the line break comes at the end of a phrase, sentence, or clause, the line is end-stopped. End-stopped lines often end with punctuation like periods/full stops, commas, semi-colons, and colons. When the line break disrupts the phrase, sentence, or clause, the line is enjambed. The French word enjambement, from which 'enjambment' is derived, means 'straddling,' and appropriately, the phrases straddle two or more lines.
The first four lines of Shakespeare's "Sonnet 18" are an example of end-stopped lines:
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Walt Whitman also uses end-stopped lines in "Song of Myself (I)":
I Celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
