This is why consoles are the worst thing to happen to video games since... ever. Which is sad because consoles were the start of video games, really, but they've become a liability. Games are delibrately not making improvements to the engines, controls, gameplay, and story so that the game fits better in the console format. It's a shame, really.

atleast the 360 controls aint a pain in the ass...

AND can be used almost everywhere... with a mouse you need a solid place to put it...

Sadly its not really the truth... check me3 and me2s maps... only in populated areas, but hell even the dragon age franchise has decent maps, and they are also on the console...

but yeah even 512 mb of ram is NOT ENOUGH... thankfully ps4 and x1 are going with 8gb.

I don't think I quite understand what the joke is here. I get that the first mission is linear but what is with the "console port" thing? Is she saying that the console version was better and just had problems porting to the PC or that the mission was linear because it was originally for a console? If it's the latter then that joke doesn't make sense when you realize most of the game isn't that linear so why make fun of it for being on a console? Also, in the description, how is it the Unreal Engine's fault?

It's a result of "console port syndrome" presumably because there's only a very obvious straight path to your objective, and a small-ish game area. Again, due to limited console hardware. It's still a good game, just not very imaginative in the Eden Prime level layout.

lol you`re right but its not really the engine`s limitation. The unreal engine is pretty awesome, its more of the consoles hardware limitations

And yet the rest of the game isn't that linear and a console can support games like the Elder Scrolls so how is it the hardware or the engine's fault?

All I meant was that if the game was designed specifically for the PC then the levels etc, would have been much more larger, detailed and more complex because the average gaming pc at the time was already significantly more powerful than the xbox360. I`m wasn`t hating on the consoles or anything like that.

Well, obviously it'd be more detailed but isn't the size of a game more so up to the developers? Just because a PC is more powerful doesn't necessarily mean they would have made a much larger game. At least you're not a PC elitist.

I'm not trying to provoke a reaction from anyone. What is it about my original comment that you find so provoking and trollish? I only replied to multiple people because I thought that DeviantART isn't a place people regularly check their replies. Obviously it was a mistake to try to talk to you.
