Commission: Timberwolf Portrait

Timberwolves - crude, naturally spawned golems made of bark twigs and dead wood, animated by wild magic of the forest and/or necromantic magic (leftover by dark cultists practicing in the Everfree). Each are imprinted with the Essence (mind/consciousness/neurological-signals suspended in a medium of arcane energies) of a wolf, and compelled by traces of lupus memories and instinct to hunt and devour prey, the flesh of which is converted into more magic to fuel its existence in a twisted magical parody of living metabolism.

For every living wolf that dies, a few will arise again as these timberwolves, and carry on to do what wolves always do - hunting, eating, fighting, howling - in the dark depths of the Everfree.
