This is another little painting of mine, done today. It's supposed to be really deep and meaningful, but then again no-one could ever hope to achieve anything meaningful so oh well. Sound depressing? Well so does what's happening in the picture. It's depicting a brief moment of almost-symmetry where the person in a dress in the visible world waves at the person in a dress who is waving back from within the big white thing, and it may be just a reflection on the surface of a consuming ball of nothingness. Or the ball might be another reality taking over the one we'd naturally assume to be the first or original one, which would mean that the person waving back is in fact a person. If it is the surface of an all-consuming ball of nothingness perhaps it is a metaphor for death or realisation of the temporary nature of things, and how you recognize yourself and then it hits you or something. Or maybe it didn't mean anything and I'm making it up as I go along? Or maybe I'm only saying this to mess with you? Or maybe I'm just being kind of depressing? What do you think?
