Back for a visit, hopefully.

Feeling a bit on the artsy tidbit, and hopefully once I get back from Afghanistan I'll be more productive. Feeling awfully inspired as of late, and suddenly have the inclination that I might be able to get good at drawing, and I might be able to take some beautiful pictures again, and I might be able to get around to doing these things. We'll see.

Good to be back, hopefully dA treats me well.
Okay, a quick little journal update here.

I've been wanting to get a tattoo for about a year now using clear ultra-violet reactive ink. And I think I am finally ready to get it done. But unfortunately I have no artistic talent when it comes to freehanding stuff, so I need to find someone to help me out here. I'd be willing to pay a commission price if necessary, so long as it looks really good.

Basically what I want to have done is my whole right arm, yes even underneath, from the top of my shoulder down to my wrist with a kind of tribal/circuit/cyberpunk design. So maybe lots of asian/mayan/middle-eastern/futuristic influences but nothing that can really be pegged down to a single culture or anything. I don't want it to be too loose of a design, nor too tight really. Nor leaning more towards the tribal than the cyberpunk. Something that flows well and has a lot of good asymmetry. It doesn't even need to be for the full arm if you don't have the time to do it all, just something that the artist I choose to do the tattoo can base his/her design off of.

So if any of you are interested or know some fabulous tattoo artists, let me know so we can talk! I don't expect much in the way of responses, but you  have to start asking somewhere, right?
I am now in (or at least relatively close to) Seattle. I move into my apartment around August 15th hopefully (right now I live about 20 minutes outside of the city), and should be working full-time at Barnes and Noble by the week's end. Free books and employee discounts, woo. Oh, and a paycheck. That too. I've had to keep myself from spending my last $100 on books, telling myself that that is extremely impractical for one, and that I'll be getting them basically free in a week anyways.

Anyways, I am in my favourite city in the world, art school is just coming over the horizon, and that means that I should hopefully be uploading stuff here again! I'll have access to a developing room and all at school so I can develop all my old rolls of black and white film, I'm motivated and invigorated by the sweet Seattle air to start writing again (and what with playwriting classes, my projects will be numerous and ripe for uploading here), and on the whole, even though it's still working on crawling to a start, life is going well.

I had some ideas a few weeks ago about venturing into a genre of literature and film that I can find no substantial work in (much less hardly any mention of), and that is the genre of psychopunk, a sub-genre of cyberpunk, which is one of my many sci-fi obsessions. I'm not sure how to go about putting down my story ideas and all, because I really want to form it into a black and white choppy movie shot on standard8 film, but I doubt I'll ever get around to having the resources and motivation to completing that. So, I'm thinking of writing it out in story form, but that's drawing up a blank. Very hard to try and think of ways to express through just words what goes on in a world where reality, perceived realities, drug-augmented realities, and memory splices are key characters of the story themselves. We'll see. May just write up a quick short story or something as a test. Who knows! Whatever the case, the screenplay/chapters/short story/storyboards/whathaveyou will end up here.

Enjoy life folks!
Curses, the first time I have been tagged with this rubbish!

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
"... your average tosser of coins depends upon a law, or..."

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can.
Monologues, monitors, pens, papers with scribbles, CDs, doodads.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?

4. Without looking, guess what time it is?

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
The distant pulse of cars on the road, if I try really hard.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
About 10 minutes ago. I was coming home from Garret Staten's.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
My bed.

9. What are you wearing?
Button up shirt, yard pants, and boxers.

10. Did you dream last night?
'course I did. I don't remember the dream too vividly, however, if at all.

11. When did you last laugh?

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Techno posters, wall sconces, a shield, a map of Middle Earth, a dry erase board with scribbles, coat of arms, christmas lights, and swords.

13. Seen anything weird lately?
A growth on a dog. Poor dog was probably trying to reproduce via mitosis because it had been neutered. Crazy mutant evolutions.

14. What do you think of this quiz?
*shrugs* I am bound by a sense of duty.

15. What is the last film you saw?

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
College tuition. That's about it. Maybe a winco sub and some coke. The rest can be banked or donated.

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know:
You wouldn't think it to look at me, but I actually don't walk correctly. I ride the inside of my foot :(

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
Rain down the apocalypse, but in a manner that myself and all my friends, plus about 2% of the rest of the world's population, would survive so we could enjoy the lawless and free post-apocalyptic world.

19. Do you like to dance?
Sure do! Tap, rave, ballroom! You name it, I love it.

20. George Bush:
Bastard stealing my college tuition money!

21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Caesura sounds nice about now.

22. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
This is harder. Artagan, maybe D'Artagnan? *shrugs* The name will come when it is needed, though names are taken far more seriously these days than they should be.

23. Would you ever consider living abroad?
I live abroad every day. In my noodle. I'd rather constantly travel abroad, like a nomad. Living abroad isn't nearly as exciting as going everywhere.

24. What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?
"So uh... now that that's done with, wanna go get some shakes or somethin'?"

25. 5 people who must also do this in THEIR journal:
Hah, you think I KNOW 5 people? Much less 5 people Scotty didn't already name or that I would expect to read my journals and be compelled to do so as well!?

Clearly this journal needs to spend more time with me :D
Now that some of the dust is gone!

Tada! I'm back, sorta. I have neglected this place for too long, and now it's time to get back into the rev of things and start churning out more work. This time it's going to be a bit different, though. So, because I'm bored at the moment, and need to straighten out what exactly I am going to be doing here, I'm going to list off what kinda things I'm hoping to do with my return!

Artistic Semi-Nudes: Maybe a bit of a shock, but I've always really wanted to try out black and white artistic semi-nudes. Ya know, not the full on "Uhhh... porn?" pics, but the subtle and truly artistic type. Should be fun!

Vector Art: The big one. I recently discovered how incredibly AWESOME vector art is, and so I'm going to attempt my own shot at it. Right now I'm working with some reference photos and trying to recreate some of the styles you see around here on dA to get used to the pen tool and Illustrator in general, and get a grasp on just what kind of work I'm looking at. Should also be very, very fun. I'm loving it so far.

More Maps: Yes, you heard me right! MORE maps! I'm going to make a point of putting together one complete map a week (not coloured or anything, just my straight penned out versions with city names) with as much of an explanation for the cities, the people, the religions, topography, flora, fauna, and so on. This is most to get me into the groove of writing again and applying short stories to the maps I've created based on the map (because culture is always founded by the geographical location, not the other way as many of todays "Best" Fantasy writers would have you think, PAH!) So anyways, that will hopefully work out for every week, and then every month I hope to choose a map from the previous month that I like the most, and try to put together a short story, or maybe a folk-tale that the people of that land are familiar with, or something to that effect.

So um, yes! That's what's going on. Sounds like a lot now that I look at it, but hopefully I can pull it off, hehe. Looking forward to commenting on all of your fabulous works as well, and interacting with all you lovely people once again :D

EDIT: Alrighty folks, I'm going to be doing my best to stay in the Nerd Herd chat from around 8ish PM PST to until whenever I go to bed for the next few weeks. So if you'd like to hop in and regale each other with tales of nerdom or just chill over a cup of e-coffee (or your barista-brewed beverage of choice,) then come on in and do so!

Most Indubitably Yours,
Alrighty, folks!

It has been sometime, but I am reinstituting the nightly chats in The NerdHerd Chat!. Come and chat, make merry, and let us indulge in the good times like we once did!

So, every night around 7 or 8 P.M. PST (maybe earlier) I'll be in there waiting for folks to come on in and chat if they feel so compelled! I'll stay in as long as I'm awake.

As a side note, I'm in there right now!
Alright, in a vain attempt to feed my long-lasting want of medieval/fantasy war, I have snapped and come up with an idea for those of you Salemites who might be interested.

Enter the Captains of the Fourth Company of the Waking and the First of the Free Companies of Khatovar (The Fourth and The First for short.) They have names, but all you need to call them is Captain. Each of you will be assigned to one of these companies as you voice your interest, and will take up a use name (e.g. Croaker, Silent, Raven, et cetera.)

As for the back story, you've been with your company for varying amounts of time depending on your rank (which will also be randomly determined.) The Waking, who are an elite coalition of Wizard-Liches, have been massing armies over the past 10 years, in hopes to destroy The Seven, who are upsetting the great Balance of Magicks by stalling the arrival of the Turning Star, a comet that passes every thousand years and destroys all the users of magick on the planet but two, who rise up and are destined to become enemies, massing energies and soldiers to war until the comet comes again. Who those two are in this age is unknown, and whether they are actual members of The Waking or The Seven is also mystery.

But the higher meanings of the war and age you have been fated to be a part of is more often than not meaningless to such a low class as yourself. As the Fourth, your company has been directly assembled by The Waking. The First, however, is a long lasting Company of men which has its roots in the Age of Sight, nearly three thousand years ago, when it was first started in the distant lands of Khatovar. Since then it has worked for many and been led by many, beeing a mercanary band.

Now, the First has been hired by a General in the armies of The Seven to defend a small village, South Cedar, in the woods of Norran. The Fourth has been sent to root the Mageborn who goes as Silverwind out of South Cedar, capture or kill him (the former would be preferred by The Fourth's masters), and burn the village to the ground.

So, how is this going to work, you ask. Frankly I havn't quite figured the battle system out, but you won't need to worry about actually fighting with the weapons, I'm working on a system that should work and still be entertaining. For the most part this is just to simulate the mental and emotional aspects of running patrols and working in poor conditions, and does not centre on combat. It will be possible for either team to "win", but I need to figure out the facets of that so it will take a good amount of time to pull it off.

If I can garner enough interest in this, expect this to go down on next Saturday, starting at 9:00 AM and running until 7 or 8 PM. If it's sunny, though, don't expect it to happen. I really want this to happen during the cold and rain. Apparrel should be suiting (id est, good raggety garb! Pack it warm, and if you want raggety garb tips, ask either Jamie or me about it!) Food should be limited to: Meats, breads (preferrably not sliced), cheeses, milk, water, fruits, et cetera. And don't worry about weapons, you will be assigned a weapon to used. If you have something you could bring or let someone borrow like a sword, halberd, shield, set of daggers, et cetera, tell me!

So, if you're interested please post the following: That you're interested, if you have any live steel weapons or bows and how many, if you're willing to lend any of it out, if you have any problems, and what your use name will be for the simulation.

My brain doesn't want to go anymore, so I hope that's all the information. If you need to know something, ask.

Alrighty, listen up ye scallawags!

Let it be known in all the lands that the enemies of Ashenwood have come once again through the northern mounts with the floods of melting snow in the spring time. Now, more than ever, these lush forests and plains, and the denizens therein, call for the aid of all warriors, wizards, and those of noble birth who find it in their codes to come at such a call.

I, Lord Regent Entaryon Lukars, Honour Guard of the House of Oor'Tael, Second Captain of the Towers of Korpal, Knight of the House of Emrys, and Trusted Arbiter of the Woods of Equis, do beseech all who would answer such a calling to make their way to the Shire of Foxglove in Ashenwood (Bush Pasture Park) on Friday, the 18th of March, three to three and half hours after midday, to combat with the foes of this beloved land once more.

That's right, folks! Ashenwood is reborn. All you Salem folk that would enjoy to jump back into the world of fantasy and fun times, Friday, March 18th, right after school, is the day for you!

The weather is fine, my spirits are high, and I need some good ol' fashion roleplaying. Who's with me!?

Just a quick journal entry to make you all aware of this film.

I just saw this movie for the first time tonight (know an actor who judges films for the Acadamy Awards and gets all the movies super early) after having the urge to see it since... yeesh, can't even remember what movie I saw the ad for it at. But it was aeons ago. Let me tell you, the wait was worth it.

I won't spend too much time saying amazing I think it is, because really there are few words that I can use to describe it. It was beautiful on so many levels it hurt, and I connected with James to the utmost. I sat awestruck as this world I found so familiar was put to light before me, and laughed with tears singing softly down my cheek as the final moments passed. Do yourself the biggest of favours and indulge in this film.

And for those of you who are not yet convinced, it is probably because you are the type of person who will be convinced by the fact that Johnny Depp plays James Barrie, the main actor.

So, if it's still in theatres around you, go buy a matinee, you'll forgive the hole in your pocket book later. And for the rest of you, whether by means illegal or through patience, I do hope you enjoy Finding Neverland.

That it is all.

And yes, no signing this time.

Before I get into the bulk of this entry, I would just like to apologize to all of you who watch me, and all of you whom I watch, for being rather dead lately. I feel really bad for not having paid any attention to the work you have all been putting out in the past few months (I did check in on a few deviations just a few moments ago), but there are way too many of them at the moment to go through them all in one sitting. I promise I'll get around to as many as I can, and give you all the praise you deserve.

But, at the moment I'm having a kind of crisis. I'm not too sure what I'm going to be doing with this account. I cleared out (or scrapped) a bunch of my deviations earlier, and will probably do so to far more of them later on. A part of me really wants to concentrate on writing and finishing up/tying together all the stories I've been weaving over the past three years (Katie, you'll have to forgive me if it seems that I'm being a copycat, but your map inspired me the other day to get back to cracking on my worlds, thus the map in Swarttie's) but of course the writer's pessimism kicks in and says not to bother. The other half or so of me says to work on the good ol' B&W's (I've given up on colour, too much activity in those photos and I don't feel I can isolate well enough yet) and hammer out those. It really all depends on how this semester spans out (I'm on the brink of graduating, if I fail a single class I won't be able to walk out of here with a diploma) and how next semester begins.

So, really, this journal entry is just a notice that I may be done here, or I may not. I dunno, lots of stuff goin' on up here *points to head* that's slowing me down, tiring me out.

Bah, but enough of that. Hopefully I catch you all around, and I'll most definitely stop by and say a friendly hello to you all at the least :)

Edit: I just put up a map I've been working on for awhile. I just wanted to warn you all that it may take awhile to download the full view since it's like, 5 megs. It originally was 11, bit I messed with the quality settings a bit and toned it down. Hopefully it's not too big, lol.

Edit the two: Nevermind, got it down to 800kb by shrinking rez and making lower quality. Hopes you all like :D

Well, as you all may have noticed, I started making T-Shirt logos this weekend. Well, in simple commerce, I'd be more than willing to go ahead and make some of these shirts for anyone who wants one, for a small fee. Now this only really works for people who live here in Salem, but if you really super duper want one and don't want to put one together yourself, go ahead and e-mail me and we'll talk. If you can provide me with a white shirt (black is super hard to do...) that fits you and which phrase you would like, I will go ahead and make you one for like 2-5 bucks, or some kind of tradeoff. If you can't get your hands on a shirt, go ahead and ask me to buy you the shirt too and I'll do it all for 5-8, or again for some kind of trade. Whatever. More designs in the making!

In other news, have been initiated into the wonderful world of the Adrian Empire this weekend! Good times abound, and all sorts of funness ensues from being hit with a shinai and rapier endlessly for 3 hours. Mmm...

Another huge prose piece in the making (as a matter of fact, another mythology Hero's Journey paper, lol!) Am liking the concept so far. Will definitely be uploading it when it's all done. Maybe this one will be the novel, eh? Doubt it, though. It kind of smells like The Black Company, so I'd have to change some stuff.

Ummm... brain doesn't really want to go anywhere else, so I'm going to end very awkwardly... now.

Threedoodled Edit It Did: I just managed to get my hands on a few episodes of reboot via a friend of mine finally, along with the charming two minue Finale Opera to the show (which, for those of you who didn't know, is a knock-off of the "Modern Major General" song from Pirates of Penzanze!!!) Note me if you'd like to see them and I will hook you up :D

Edit the twond: Very super crazy random, but I was just offered to be the DJ for the WOU Net-Radio Station that Jonathan Guillen (Dulath from Amtgard) is starting up... so... that's really awesome. I'll be streaming whenever I'm on the computer basically, and you all can plug in whenever you want to this address Yay, I now can use my radio voice for the radio *dances*. That is all for now.

Edit: Well, guess I passed 1,000 earlier today. Am now eagerly awaiting the screenshot or something. If you were close (1,001 or something), go ahead and lie if nobody has sent me a screen yet, lol.

Well, it's been nearly five months and I'm finally nearing that 1,000th pageview mark that seems to be such a leap in the life of a deviantARTIST.

Seeing as it seems to be such a tradition on this website, to anyone who can get me a screenshot of the 1,000th pageview, I'll try and churn out some kind of gift that is worthwhile. Not too sure on what that will be, guess it just depends on the person, really. Or if you have a request, I could try my hand at it. I can't draw, I've never actually painted on canvas with fun paints or anything, but I would enjoy trying. I've had one day of potery lessons, and made a nifty little goblet thing (apparently newbies arn't supposed to be good at making them.) I'm not too good at photomanips or complete digital art (since I can't draw,) nor am I good at flash. I've never been able to write poetry that anyone takes seriously (well, except for once in creative writing but I was making a satire and nobody but the teacher caught it, and he laughed, so there ya go,) and I don't think I could write or photograph anything good enough for a prize. But... I am willing to pour my heart and soul into the making of whatever the request is, so you have the guarantee that I tried my hardest to thank you for being my 1,000th view.

Thank you for the almost five months, peoples! Love do I for you all much very have... ness!

Well, I've been put into a mood in which I really want to write. So, expect some more pieces coming on in the Poetry and Prose fields from me in the next few days. Particularly want to work on In the Light of Your Eyes, as it is a piece that I am holding very close at the moment. There's an interesting story to it's arrival on dA, but I will save that until it has played out completely, or save it for a few folks.

Anywho, the Magnetic Fields is very distracting at the moment (Promises of Eternity, at the moment, from their 69 Love Songs Collection,) so I will succomb to their genius for a time, and get back to trying to decipher my own handwriting (actually just gave me a good idea for Poetry/Prose preview files, shibby!) I do hope that each and every one of you enjoy yourselves this weekend.

Greetings, folks.

Well, I've decided that I want to try out some fantasy photography here. There isn't a whole lot of it that you see around on dA, so I think it would be interesting to try and pull off convincingly. Anywho, I've got some ideas churning, and any help I could receive for this would be very appreciated. I'll be needing to borrow a digital camera (can't do this with a film camera, unfortunately), at least one body, any medieval garb you may have (this isn't as important, since I can whip up improv costumes quick enough, but as I'll be needing variations, the more the better), a tripod, and any extra medieval weapons, armaments, apparel, et cetera you are willing to place in my care (or, if you want to be a body, wear.)

I'd like to get the pictures done as soon as possible, so I can start the altering process, as that will be taking up the majority of the work (yes, he is actually going to be submitting a photo-manip! *gasp!*) Anywho, I want this to take place on an overcast day, and even preferrably a kind rainy day, so do note that if you were considering to let me use your camera for a bit. I will be taking precautions so as not to ruin the camera, but if you don't want to run that risk, that's okay. If you want to be a model/body, do be prepared to be out in the cold and possibly rain. And for the record, it will be out at Jory Ville park.

Anywho, enough of that babbling. Hope you're all doing well!

Edit: Just made myself a stock photo account at Entaryon-Stock. Nothing there at the moment, but that should change as the evening progresses. Am currently working on more photomanipulations in practice for the fantasy stuff, and figured I'd put the normal versions of the pictures to good use and make a stock account. So, there you go!

That's right, kiddies! Along with Shrewsbury, school, and the gallery show, we also have been given another chance to redeem ourselves for the past three or so competitions hosted by TheForce.Net!!!

Basically, we have until January First to put together a lightsabre (has to be lightsabres this time 'round, can't play around like with v.2) fight that does not excede four minutes in length. Final file size can't be more than 30 megabytes, but it should be easy to dance in that hall. Traditional lightsabres only, as well. This means single-bladed or double-bladed sabres only (not that we have a problem with that, lol.) So, how many of you are up for it?

Kevin, if you're up for joining in on the fun, could you do the homework for CCTV quick? I could help you out if it's a question of time. Scotty, I'm sure you'll want to help out as well, at least just to show 'em all we actually can do something after the musical tragedy. Ryan would probably be interested as well, more likely than not just for putting a techno soundtrack together for it since he really wants to try that.

If there's anyone else out there that wants to drive out and be a part of the fight (as many people want to fight that come out, we'll put a fight together for it. There is no limit on how many people can be in the fight.) speak up so we can include you in the equation and get food and dowels to accomodate for you! Let's win this one!

Oh, and for those of you who want to know what the prizes are, they're not too sure yet. It'll probably be something like a set of T-Shirts that say "I won the TF.N Choreography Competition and all I got was this crappy T-Shirt" or something tacky like that, lol.

Of teh Edit: On a side note, after seeing Hero, I've had a very strong urge to watch some good ol' Martial Arts movies. From the finest (e.g., Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), to the the tackiest (e.g., Mortal Kombat), and the funniest (Kung-Pow), but without the loss of the quality of the story (Twin Warriors.) So, I really want to go crazy and get my hands on as many as I may and watch them. The Zatoichi Saga as well, not all of them of course, but nonetheless, must watch a few. And who can forget some Bruce Li films! Ah well. If any of you have any good Martial Arts movies (e.g., Jet Li's, Jackie Chan's. But no Steven Seagal/Jean Claude van Dame, please!!!1!!elven!tyone!!!1! *commits seppuku with a rubber duck at the thought of those blemishes on the Martial Art Film world*) can I borrow them!?!? AhhH! Oh yeah, and see Hero. Good movie. The first ten or fifteen minutes will probably make you doubt the cool factor of the film, but once they get into the story of the film, it gets cool :D

Heyas folks!

Just ran across FFR for the first time today. Not sure how old it is, or if any of you have heard of it. It sounded somewhat familiar to me, but hey, whatever! It's fun!

Of course, it's Dance Dance Revolution except it runs in flash and you use the arrow keys on your keyboard as the foot pads (so you use your fingers.) Very challenging, very addicting. Sign up and play! If you want to challenge me (I suck, so if you some credits go ahead and do it, lol) my user name is, of course, Entaryon. Happy dancing, folks!

That's right folks, you heard me correctly! Only nineteen (19) more days until the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire!!! So let's get ready for the faire, eh!?

-For those of you who wish to attend, leave a comment here or e-mail me with whether or not you can drive and have a car, can drive and don't have a car, need a ride, or any other situation you may be in! Will make it far easier to coordinate how we'll all get there. Tickets for admission cost $8 (with this coupon. It is $9 otherwise. I'd suggest printing a couple of those out each and spreading them around school, putting them up at the library, et cetera.)

-Food isn't too spendy there, though there are some places that overcharge a bit. I'd strongly suggest purchasing an Italian Soda in a big bottle (something like 4 or 5 dollars), and carying that around, since refills are cheaper with one (it's worth it if you fill it up three times, if I remember correctly.)

-If you don't want to feel naked and/or touristy, get your hands on a cloak at the very least. The more layers you have that are fantasy garb like, the better. Cloaks also help keep you cool, even if they're black, since the wind kicks up and cools you off :D. They also have lots of garb there, but don't be surprised to pay well over $100 for just a nice jacket or something. Then again, it is a very nice jacket you're getting, lol. So if you're going to Shrewsbury for clothes and you want to walk out happy and not disappointed, $300-400 will have you sitting pretty. If you're looking for leather, forget about it unless you have $500-600 lying around somewhere for just the overpieces.

-Weapons are probably the stars of the show at Shrewsbury, next to the garb. Stay away from the sword vendors that are directly through the first leg of the main street (the one with the smithy) as they are overpriced and very... arrogant characters. They do know what they're talking about, though. Stick to the smaller vendors, and you'll find your experience with weapon shopping far better. If you want a very high quality sword, be looking at around $100-150 a piece, while nice display swords run around $25-50. Though at every faire there is always one "find of the day", which is a good combat ready sword under $75. Be on the lookout for these, because they are few and far between!

Aside from these aspects, the rest of the faire is laughing and cost free! The music and dancing is always guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, and the jousting (if you like the style the troupe uses. Nothing compared to the good ol' Seattle Knights) can be interesting. And at the very least you have the company of all the folks you came along with! So let's get this party in the planning!

In other news, I leave Santa Barbara tomorrow morning, and return to Salem on Tuesday around 6:00 PM. Am spending Tuesday and Wednesday with Stephie, and then Thursday onwards will be developing, framing, matting, talking and conferencing with the other salem-deviants and John to get our gallery stuff ready. Yes, for those of you who didn't hear about that yet, the four of us have been invited to have our artwork put up in a gallery for the Silverton Art Faire, which lasts from September 3rd to the 26th!!! So, we're all very excited about that :D

Well, that's all for now! Until next time, folks!

Last night I ran across this flash film at Newgrounds. I think right now it holds second place for rank, which is amazing, because it isn't the usual blood, guts and profanity films that hold that spot (as a matter of fact, the number one ranked film at NG is Final Fantasy A+!!!) So on top of this film just being brilliant (the animation is very smooth and well done, excellent music choice, beautiful message, et cetera), people like it! Maybe Newgrounds is taking a turn for the better :D

In other news, got my most recent set of photos back today, and I feel a whole lot better with the outcome. I only put up two of the photos, but I like nearly all of them this time around (the others are just not artsy or refined enough for me to put on.) So that was an über plus, too.

Well, I leave tomorrow at 6:00 AM to go to Santa Barbara for a week and a half (get back on the 24th or 25th) for my sister's wedding. Should be lots of photo oppurtunities outside of the wedding, so most definitely will be bringing back a lot of photos. Will attempt some more building shots (there are skyscrapers in SB, I think!) and some sunset shots, since I'll be right on the beach. My best of wishes to everyone while I'm gone, since I don't know if there are any internet cafés down there. Hopefully I can find one, though :D

Edit: Oh, and by the way, don't be afriad to come on in and join us in #nerdherd for chats throughout the day and night! Granted it's somewhat difficult to catch more than two people, but if you're in and don't have anything better to do, send a note to any of the regulars and let them know you're in :D

Edit the Second: Well, it's 6:07 AM PST, and we're about to leave. Just a final farewell to everyone before we're off. Enjoy yourselves, everyone! Love you all! :glomp:  !!!

Anywho, that's all I've got to say for now, so may your film always be plentiful!

Attention all nerdy folk, or those who do not necessarily agree with the convos in other chat rooms, can go ahead and join the Nerd Herd™ v1.0 chat room!!! More often than not at the very least I will be there.

Anywho, for those of you interested in joining the chat, here are the basic Rules and Regulations for using our chat:

1. Please respect others. Use common sense in this matter.

2. No blatant and irrational spam. Moderate advertising alright as long as it isn't rubbing too many folks the wrong way. Inappropriate advertising, however (e.g., pornographic material), is strictly prohibited.

3. Sharing work is perfectly alright, as long as it doesn't turn to spam.

4. Explicit behaviour (e.g., cybering) is also strictly prohibited.

5. Abusive profanity and bigotry is strictly prohibited. This may seem like a reiteration of rule 1, which in some senses it could be, but either way it is no less important.

6. These rules and regulations are subject to change at the whim of the Founder and Operators. At such times, notice will be made, and it is your responsibility to catch up.

7. It is always up to the choice of the Operators what goes against these rules and regs, do not argue with them. They were given the ability to boot because I trust their judgement on these matters.

So anywho, that's it for now! Come on in and join the merriment!

The ads on dA have been removed! What a great 4 year anniversary gift for all of us, eh? Not too sure what I think about the new layout (seems far too left heavy for  me), but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The colours are way more alive, though! And that's something I definitely like :D

The notes/messages/devWatch setup thing is kind of weird (for the time being. Again, will get used to it), the friends list could use some tweaking, and then there's the problem that when I try and browse the galleries, all the images stack on top of one another in the middle :(. Hopefully it's just a minor bug and not my browsing being a pain again.

Anywho, what do you all think of the new layout?
