Zar'roc and Fay strolled out of the Hunter's guild, this time joined by a third member. Perched on Zar'roc's back was not an Abra, but this time Kara herself. "Ya know, your fur is hella comfortable." Kara said. "Come on, join the hunter's guild, I'll make you my personal steed."
"As much as the thought of being ridden by a lovely young woman day and night sounds lovely, I must decline." Zar'roc said. Kara reached over and smacked the back of his head. "Aha, I deserved that one."
"God damn perv." Kara muttered. "I oughta get some reins, see how you like that."
"Oh I dunno, some people are into that." Fay mused
"Why the hell are the two of you here anyway?" Kara asked. "An explorer and a researcher helping a Hunter's guild leader."
"We're just a couple of oddballs doing what we do best." Fay chuckled. "Being pervs and crowd pleasers."
"Oh come on, I am nowhere near as lewd as you are." Zar'roc said with a smirk.
"Well, perhaps, but if you work real hard at it, you can one day because as lecherous as me." Fay chuckled.
"I don't think I like you two." Kara growled.
"Well, we do as we please for the most part, but when it comes to a throw down, I think you'll be happy to have us on your side." Fay gave her a devious grin. "So, where exactly were they?"
"Take a left at the next turn." Kara said and pointed to make it more clear. "I think thats where they were last sighted. If you can hold your own in a fight, I'll let you into my gang."
"If you're setting such high requirements to join, I'll be expecting good things from your gang." Zar'roc said.
"You doubting my gang?" Kara growled challengingly. "I've got enough punches saved up for you and your sidekick."
"I'm saying talk is cheap." Zar'roc said. "I'll wanna see what your gang can do when we're in."
"...Hmph. Your alright for an explorer." Kara said, settling down a bit.
"Well, I try." Zar'roc said. His eyes narrowed as he spotted an odd group of five or six pokemon eyeing a stand selling jewelry. "What about those guys over there?"
"Those look like them." Kara said. "As much as I'd like to wreck them right now, we don't wanna make a mess of the town. Meetup here at night, we'll teach them who runs this town."
"Sounds good to me." Fay said. "I'm not really thinking we're much for intimidation since we don't have much of a reputation. Yet."
"Then I'll take Kara back." Zar'roc said and started trotting back.
"Eh? Whats this about?" Kara asked.
"Well, there's plenty of work waiting for you at the guild, so might as well relax a bit before you get to it." Zar'roc explained.
Kara groaned but nodded. "Ah...fine."
"Any objections going the long route?" Zar'roc asked.
"Long route?" Kara asked. "But the guild ain't far."
"Indeed, but due to an explorer's incompetent sense of directions, you were stuck with him and couldn't return for a while. There was simply nothing you could do about it." Zar'roc said smoothly.
"...Heh. I could use a break from paperwork." Kara said. "You sure you're not Hunter material?"
"Sometimes I wonder." Zar'roc chuckled and started walking off in the wrong direction.
Hours had passed and night had fallen. A pale crescent moon had risen into the dark knight sky that had been peppered with small shining specks known as stars. They had met up once more, but it was a little different. They were in a nearby rooftop, spying and waiting for the group to appear. It was only a matter of time...
The group from before came forward. They spotted a Grumpig, Beldum, Poochyena, Wigglytuff, Gloom, and a Seedot. "Doesn't seem like much of a threat really." Fay said.
"Then this will be easy. Let's make this quick." Kara said. The three hopped down, and the opposing group was instantly alerted to their presence.
"Who the hell are you?!" The Grumpig yelled.
"The name's Kara, and me and my minions are here to remind you wimps who runs this place!" Kara snapped back, pulling out a fire stone and lighting her leaf. "Now if you know what's best for you, you'd best scram!"
"Yeah right!" The Grumpig shot back. "Me and my boys are gonna wipe the floor with you and get the respect we deserve!"
"Oh yeah?" Kara asked, smirking to herself. "I guess it can't be helped. Boys?"
"Yes madam Kara?" Zar'roc asked.
"Wreck 'em, but leave the Grumpig for me." Kara instructed.
"Of course." Fay said and surged forward, and before anyone could react, grabbed the Beldum with his tail and stuck the Gloom on the back of it's head. The Gloom grunted and fell forward, and it didn't get back up. The Wigglytuff yelled and charged at Fay, who jumped out of the way and flung the confused Beldum with a flick of his tail. Zar'roc charged at the Seedot and Poochyena and stopped directly in front of them, and glared at them menacingly.
The two smaller mons shrunk back at the intense glare of the Absol. "W-we're gonna..." The Poochyena stuttered. "W-we're gonna kick you...ass!"
"LEAVE." Zar'roc commanded and raised a clawed paw menacingly. The two smaller mons shrieked and ran for their lives. Zar'roc smiled to himself and put his paw back down to see how Kara was doing. The Grumpig was certainly making an effort to try and get her, but his focus was all over the place due to the number of punches he was taking right in the face. Kara looked like she was enjoying herself quite a bit. The Grumpig recoiled from the last slug right in the snout, leaving him open to a barrage of punched to the stomach, which Kara was more than happy to deliver. He fell onto his back, wheezing and gasping for air as pain surged through him. "A-ahhh...d-damnit..." He grunted.
"Yeah, thats right. Lay there and remember who took your punk ass down." Kara snarled triumphantly. "Come on boys, we're done here."
"Wait, where's Fay?" Zar'roc asked. Fay, the Beldum, and the Wigglytuff were gone.
"Heck if I know. He's fine probably." Kara said.
"Oh, I most definitely am!" Fay said from a rooftop and tossed the unconscious Beldum down to them. "He made for a great....improvised weapon."
"...Pink boy ain't dead is he?" Kara asked.
"Oh most certainly not, but that could be an easy fix." Fay mused.
"No. We're going. These punks know better now...and if they don't..." Kara smirked and cracked her knuckles. "We'll just repeat what happened."
"Hah, I'll certainly be a part of that!" Fay said and hopped down. "Back to the guild then?"
"Yes, let us escort you back." Zar'roc offered.
"You think I need protecting?" Kara asked, glaring at the two.
"No, but if you get ambushed, I wanna get them." Zar'roc said. "That, and we've met your requirements, right?"
"I'll think about it." Kara said folding her arms. "Let's go, I'll give ya your coin there."
