Vladimir Nerschevik (the Bosun of The Plucky Swallow). He is as rough and cruel as he looks. An ambitious pirate, Vladimir constantly longs for bigger and better, even if it means commiting sins which others would not dare try. He fears no man, and ultimately this is his weakness; he believes himself a match for any mother's son. Hates Alastair Sedge with a passion.
