Farewell... Sakata Gintoki.
For those of you who haven´t watched the movie yet, this may contain spoilers!
[Okay, so I finally finished this massive time-consuming piece of fanart. I wanted to try something new and do something big for once in a while. I´m not 100% happy with the result, but my artistic skills were too bad to do it exactly how I wanted it to look like. So this is the best I can do right now.]
The GINTAMA-obsession got me really hard... I finished the anime and my love for Hijikata and Gintoki grew and grew... And when I watched the second movie, I was completely hooked. I cried, I laughed, I died at the scene where Gintoki learned why he was sent into the future in the first place. I can honestly say that Gintama took my soul...
This comic strip was inspired by the movie. It is situated right after future Gintoki is impaled by his former self. The thought of Gin dying alone on the top of the terminal broke my heart. So I wanted to continue the story where Gintoki of the past used the time machine again. The idea was, that Hijikata finds Gintoki dying and they share a last moment together...
