Personality | 'I will carry you with a fair wind at my back.' | Æ's incredibly mellow behaviour may come as a shock at first with him being one of the most mature stallions in the Estate. He's a stout, elegant, extremely quiet horse that will treat everything as if it were made of glass, always with care and respect. Reticent around what is unknown to him, it will take a few days of long distance observation for him to take the first step- unless you're one of the few people he becomes automatically attached to. Even if hard to arouse, Æ has a more intense side to him that will show on occassion and in every kind of situation possible. He might have a very flighty day, a playful roll with another horse or a vicious fight from time to time, but good ol' Æ usually stays as balanced and reliable as the mightiest Drakkar ship.

Æ was presumedly born over in Scandinavia, home of the purest Drakehest lines, barely two centuries ago. He is presumedly one of the first successful horses expressing the newly found Drakkar pattern -bred in a group of Drakehests which developed certain patterns on their coat, resembling carvings at their best. At a certain point in the early 19th century, he was sold to the moving company Pickfords, and shipped to the United Kingdrom to work as a canal barge-pulling horse. However, due to the young colt's inability to properly work, he was offered for sale on London's Smithfield market. The colt did not stir the interest of anybody, and was yet again shipped to Belfast, and then Dublin, to try the owner's luck at selling one more time.

It was there, in the ironically named Smithfield Market in Dublin, where the engraved colt caught the attention of both Thomas and Bjorn, who had been drawn to him as if by fate. The latter a landlord, the former a tenant, both men did not hesitate a single second before signing the purchase of the golden colt- who thanks to his special appearance (an appearance not very appreciated outside of certain Drakehest-savvy equestrian circles), ultimately served another purpose: deliver a message to a friend trapped in Belfast. Æ has stayed in Thomas' ownership since then, but it wasn't until the Estates' settling down when he was registered as a pure blooded Drakehest.

The stallion was also a pioneer in the fact that he's been a permanent resident in another dimension. Brought along an exploration party, he has witnessed many a strange thing, including a completely new freezing land, dragons and some might say magic. Tamriel was well cut for him.

Trivia

• Disciplines/Use: All-rounder
• A guy very fond of contact, specially with people. He will rest his head on practically every body part he's close enough to.
• Barely vocal. The loudest he'll normally go is a few low nickers.
• Loves, loves water. Rain, puddles, lakes, sea, even the water sprues. When bathing, he won't stop until he's soaked from hooves to ears.
• Has the ability to fall asleep literally in any situation.
• Intense colors seem to catch his attention. Thomas sometimes shows up with his hair all slobbered. Goddamnit Æ you dumb.
• Æ is incredibly intuitive and sharp, and might rival Scarborough on 'communication with human 101' horse skills.
• Will usually break fights between younger stallions.
• On summer, his marking colors will intensify a lot. On winter, he becomes duller (he doesn't care as long as he gets to eat snow. Water. All for him) and grows the thickest fluff armor.
• Very flexible, he usually has no trouble adapting to new disciplines. He does try hard as long as he likes it.
