Colored Traveler [UPDATED] by Energyzed Colored Traveler [UPDATED] by Energyzed
Update: Finished coloring the three drawings on the right. Tried switching up the palette for extra color practice. The girl in orange is SUPPOSED to have auburn hair...but I think I missed that by a long shot OTL

Drawn by the amazing *EpicMyst! I only colored her drawing.

Each time I looked at this drawing of Epic's I always saw it in greens and yellows. I'd say the hardest part to color were the pants and goggles. Didn't know what colors to go with, but decided with these.

I only did this for practicing purposes, plus I had tons of fun. The colors were all done on one layer...maybe next time I'll try multiple layers.

Anyways, I'm open for constructive criticism! So lay it on meh!!!!! :evillaugh:

Thanks! :] I think I have a thing for darker colored hair. I did, however, try doing some shading on her green cloak(?) and it looked horrible...so I just stuck with flats. Almost looked like someone threw water on her xD

But, I'm open for any tips/tricks you've got for me :iconheheplz:

awwwwwww too bad. I would have liked to see that attempt at shading. :>

There's a lot I could try to express via typing here, but I find typing just don't cut it where visual things are involved so I'm going to recommend this tutorial to you as an aid in your progression with shading and folds in fabric. :>

Haha, it's fine. I'm not grading you on grammar...yet ;P

Peacock-combination? Haha, I was shooting for opposites/complementary colours on the top/bottom right.
Hmm, maybe if the second portrait's hair was darker, or paler, the skine might work better? I love the eyes on all of them actually :iconbadassplz: Proud of myself!

Thank you so much for letting me color this!

Yeah! I don't know why it strikes me as that(peacock, I mean), but the yellow and red-brown hair and blue combination is really pleasing to me. Good use of complimentary colours. I've been falling back on that myself, and it's really been expanding my palette.

Thank you very much for wanting to colour this! What fun! ^^

Well either way Im just glad that you enjoy the colored version that I have presented you!
The more I look at it the more the different pictures remind me of the different colored Link characters from Zelda, haha.

Youre welcome, and thank you for allowing me to color it :]

Nice! I like the top right one with the peacock-combination of colours. It's really nice! I like the way you highlight the hair in the second portrait. I think the grey sink doesn't sit too well with that colour scheme though, but eye's are very neat. :>
