Fabulous image, technically flawless- it defies category and asks more questions than it answers. In this I see, beyond the obvious subject, a really remarkable dialog between artist and model, maybe more the true subject on another plane. The poetry of motion and form is like Matisse in a photograph. The photo also suggests by its qualities that it is part of a larger body of work, and I can't help but wonder how this would function as a published work, like a small sketchbook, full only of photgraphs without text. Enchanting, enigmatic, sensual. A world complete unto itself. Chapeau!

Superb example of backlighting or transparent fabric to achieve a backlit affect. I wouldn't be surprised if the model was 5'2" but the pose is so long and flowing and graceful she appears much taller. Normally I don't like lined or patterned fabric for such shots but this is very effective--I'm surprised at how effective it is (you have me now thinking of places where I might get a similar fabric). I actually wish you'd been able to shoot this when the streets weren't so busy--the cars and people are a distraction compositionally. Or perhaps shooting with a narrower DoF to blur out some of that background clutter. The nature of the architecture/buildings works very well with the pose (which I associate with classical ballet). This is a lovely piece of work. Nice concept and very well executed.
