I think it's dead. :dead:
That moment when you just started making your way to the bathroom and someone beats you in there.

I've got plenty looking for new homes.  I'm advertising them here since my adoptables account isn't as well-known (and thus gets lost in the masses rather easily).

You know it's good when Nintendo gets in on it.
Except....Nintendo just has to be

(Just pay the man for the song already.  Geez.)
I really enjoy working with handmade cold porcelain clay UNTIL my works crack/deform on me when they dry:iconraegplz:

So instead of continuing to waste time/money trying to deal with this supposedly inexpensive alternative, I've gone back to using sculpey clay.

The whole reason why I switched from sculpey in the first place is because (1) wth $2 per block? (2) clean-up was treacherous (3) the whole your-oven-could-give-off-deadly-fumes thing was a turn-off (4) my hands would end up sore from trying to condition it.

However, the sculpey company has this new type of clay called Sculpey Bake Shop's cool.

Already I've completed [yes, COMPLETED] three different objects and I gotta say Sculpey has won my heart again.
:bulletgreen: It's soft and requires almost no time to condition
:bulletgreen: Easy to blend so having limited colors isn't a big deal
:bulletgreen: Comes in a variety pack [for less than $10 with coupon *wink* ]
:bulletgreen: And of course it won't dry out on me after 5 minutes of exposure to air

The thing I like most about it may also be the one thing I don't like about it.  It's a little too soft, it's easily marked by the lightest bump or scratch.

But other than that I'm definitely enjoying it thus far. =)

(I can't even get a decent journal entry out).
I have an open collab project going out of boredom.

Circa 2006-2007 I experienced a fashion design phase.  I had recently discovered that my satellite television had music channels (lol) and during the day [since I was unemployed u_u] I would listen to the techno/dance/house/fist-pumping station.  I would sit down and sketch out an outfit according to what my mind saw as I listened to the lyrics and rhythm.  I limited it to 3 songs per outfit, or at least until I was satisfied with the design.  What I developed, to this day, is very creative in my opinion.

But these days, in 2012 when I'm supposedly suppose to be this "seasoned artist" I struggle to develop good designs, whether it's just a nice outfit or a complete character.  Perhaps it's because I got away from the stimulation of the music experience?  Or maybe it's some form of art block?  Or maybe I need to "get out" more?  Or maybe I've hit the peak of my art career? (I'm definitely hoping that last one isn't the case).

Anyway, I'm just rambling because I no longer desire to draw tonight.  But I seriously do need to find some good music to work by again. :icongo-on-plz:

:icongo-on-plz: ...I like this icon.  Do you?

:icongo-on-plz: Too bad.
I was browsing through some gorgeous artworks featuring black characters which had me thinking:

Sometimes, being an artist of color, I wonder if there's some kind of invisible mandate that says I'm required to draw stuff associated with my race.
I mean, do people expect my gallery to be full of imagery that specifically, predominately reflect black culture and portray persons of color?
Am I less of an artist if I choose to draw my characters wearing french braids and polo shirts instead of cornrows and dashikis?
Am I showing less appreciation if I decided to draw someone of my race wearing garbs associated with another race?

Just some thoughts that I've wrestled with lately. :icongo-on-plz:

You mean, Nintendo agreed to allow Disney to make a movie using it's trademark characters??
Or is Nintendo now Disney's....naw, that can't be.
I probably shouldn't say this because I don't want people to think less of me as an artist, but I've finally started a request that has been given to me almost a year ago.
It's not that I've forgotten either.  It's just...well....

I think I'm starting to realize why so many artists here on DA don't do requests.

Any thoughts? :icongo-on-plz:
And only one week left:

And don't blow up your neighbor's car.
Commissions are on hold until further notice

Okay, here's the deal.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am now opening up for commission work.

Price list:
$5 for one character (chibi, full-size, anthro, etc.).
$2 more for each additional character
Price varies depending on complexity.

I'm accepting Paypal ONLY for commissions.
It'll be fun to get points, but last time I checked they didn't accept points for bill payments.

Terms, conditions, blah blah blah.
-No hentai
-No yaoi/yuri
-No bondage or similar fetish stuff
-No sexual content of any kind
-No gory, violent, head-got-blown-off imagery
-No images that would be considered hateful or offensive
-No vulgar content
(Hint: If you wouldn't show it to your grandma, I don't draw it).

-couples holding hands/embracing/kissing
-green plumbers with mustaches
-other things that I don't realize I draw often

REMEMBER:  I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason.  Letting you know in advance so your feelings don't get hurt.

Still interested?  Good.

I will draw in one of my main styles shown in the examples below:

10282011 by Enaicioh Chibi
Her-story Board by Enaicioh 08082011 Reno by Enaicioh Standard
Aww Shucks by Enaicioh 02112011 by Enaicioh 30 More Minutes by Enaicioh "Wacky"

Please be sure you specify which style you prefer.  If not, I'll choose for you :plotting:

Once payment is received, I will send you an unmarked copy of  your order via email in either png or jpg format.

Also, I plan on putting every commission in my gallery.  If you do not wish to have your commission posted, make sure you inform me in your note.

I will accept up to 4 commissions at a time.  However, I will accept only one job per person per cycle.  In other words, if you order a commission, you'll have to wait until I clear my list to order again.

But this is what it's all about right?

So anyway, I'm working on a really really REALLY BIG project.

Hey gang,

I've been quite busy which explains my inactivity.  But just as a reminder, my next kiriban prize @ 4,500 is only a few pageviews away!

This username change feature deviantart has installed must be the best thing that has happened in the history of the site; nearly everyone I watch has changed their name :XD:  I guess I'm pretty content with my own.  Either that or I'm too lazy to come up with another cool one.

....Umm....that'll be all.  I think.
I have an adoptables account if you're into that sort of thing:
