The Great Dreamer. The All Maker. Our Father, the fathomless and unnameable Nightmare. That little dot in front of it is Argus.
An Outer God akin to Azathoth, The Nightmare is the sole being responsible for the existence of the universe, as well being partly responsible for the existence of Shades, arguably the biggest threat to the continued existence of the former. Does not exist within physical reality, shown here is a mere abstraction, the nearest, yet still comparable thing to what its avatar, that rests near Argus, might look like to those capable of perceiving it.
Sleeps for eternity, all of reality is a figment of its imagination. Thaumaturgists learned it was possible, with no small amount of showmanship and ritual, and a little bit of its own influence, to trick The Nightmare into believing their wills were its own, and thus alter reality to suit their whims, allowing for fantastical feats. This art is now lost to time, with only one known practitioner. A rare few individuals are born with the ability to see The Nightmare; those who do often go mad, either for fear of the looming abomination constantly watching with unseeing eye, or out of the belief that those around them are merely pretending not to see it as well, to spite them.
Though due to its timeless nature, it is highly improbable, some speculate in terror as to what may happen if one day The Nightmare were to awaken.
