Really? I found him my least favorite.. The neck looks dumb and it turns into dumb shins.. the legs have a neat arm transformation but he walks flat. I'm all for spiny feathers but these just look wrong, and in places, silly.. The axes are just.. what the hell, curved feathers? turning into small broad handaxes?
it's really sad that they got the t-rex and the raptor so wrong

He does look silly, but at least he doesn't fall apart like Scorn, doesn't look like ass as in the case of Slug/Slag, and isn't ridiculously simple like Strafe. The proportions are better compared to...say...leader Grimlock and Voyager Grimlock, and while Robot mode is even odder, it's still better than those aforementioned TF. If you're looking for the best transforming dinosaur robot on the market, read the review of TFC Sirtoys Dino combiner here: emperordinobot.blogspot.com/

I think slug looks pretty boss, what don't you like about him?
and yeah strafe is over simple, he's my third least favorite but i still got him..
scorn fell apart? mine didn't. My gripes with scorn are his very iffy legs that only look good in one position, and the seemingly useless neck spur that can move forward but you'd never want it to.
i also think slog looks alright but i'm not getting him, i will get snarl though.
and you're right, slash looks better than both grimlocks.
hey i'll check that out :D thanks

I think they are the weakest dinobots of all, ever. The colors suck for all of them, and I wish they had focused on making better dino modes.

I think i agree a little.. The colors are alright but would have been better less saturated.. and the dino modes definitely suffered most.
Tbh it's weird enough this movie has transforming dinobots, so far the rule in the movies is that the beast guys don't transform, or if they do it's into a part of a vehicle.. the beast IS their robot mode. I wonder how they'll explain this.

I'm seeing it on Wednesday.

All I know is that back in G1, Dinobots could fly in Robot mode and would often TF to Dino mode to do battle, for instance, the g1 1986 battle between them and Devastator. Arguably, their dino mode is their true robot mode. But I think it depends on individual.

Either way I'm getting a guy to dry brush them a little to make them a little less cartoony... If it were up to me, I'd put a ton of chrome on them!!!!

Being Emperor Dinobot, I've played with all sorts of dino-robots across time and space. The new AoE line offers some great sculpts, but Slash is my favorite so far. The others are kind of weak.

If you've read my new blog emperordinobot.blogspot.com/, the TFC Sirtoys Dinobot combiner team is the best thing out in the market right now. I will soon post pics of all the dinosaur robot toys I own there.
