Saurophaganax maximus by EmperorDinobot Saurophaganax maximus by EmperorDinobot
Alas! poor Yorick! I knew him well...

Sorry, I couldn't resist it.

I started him last year, and finally finished it today. Saurophaganax is very similar to Allosaurus, but bigger, and more...massive, or so I've read.

It's very old. Where did you find it?

Nick Dodge's "Inside the World of Dinosaurs" video. He used your Riojasaurus there, too.

Can you please link me to it, so that I may tell them to cease and fucking desist if they're not going to ask me for my permission?

where have we found fossil evidence of saurophaganax? i mean, with all the discoveries going on, it's hard to tell any more. looks like a fast hunter though. nice work, as always!

Epanterias is another Allosaur that may have been even bigger than Saurophaganax...But nothing much is known about that one. Some say it's a subspecies of Allosaurus.

Cools. Don't take me for reference. Hell, I don't even know who to refer you in the case of Allosaurids. I'm interested in Gondwanian dinosaurs. Everything else bores me.

"Maximus, Maximus, Maximus!"

Great work. You've captured the Sauro pretty well. Now be a good boy and come comment some of my work. I might just give you a cookie and a hug. :D

Awesome drawing! Saurophaganax is one of my favorites! Looks like it's almost as big as a Rex

The Saurophaganax is not something you want to meet in real life.
I'm not gonna color this, altough if I would, i'd make it in a light olive green with dark red splotches of grandeur all over its body.

Great reconstruction :) you can definitely tell it's an Allosaur, especially in the face. And I agree, I love seeing paleo art on DA

Yes, not too many, but you can find among the best dino art galleries here as well. In ~paleontologia, for example...great artwork.
