Pannoniasaurus inexpectatus by EmperorDinobot Pannoniasaurus inexpectatus by EmperorDinobot
This 'freshwater mosasaur' was from Hungary. This art is mostly speculative. After giving a nice look at the fossils, I saw that the tail maybe was just long and flat, like a lizards, not as depicted here. Some day it had longish limbs to crawl out and in of freshwater beaches, but... So here's a speculative Pannoniasaurus. Flippers were restored after Clidastes.

This is my 199'th animal in this current category and era with no deletions from the past.
I've deleted many obsolete drawings, but I have not done this in 2 years, so I'm almost on my 200th currently official dinosaur :la:

Not too bad, and another good depiction I'd like to maybe have on my paleontology podcast's family spotlight for this animal. Of course that's only if you are fine with that and with that, I figured I'd extend an invitation to the fanclub of the podcast which is called Prehistory: A Traveler's Guide which I co-host on BlogTalkRadio. Plus this would nab you a spot in the artist spotlight for this animal.

I'm glad you like it, but do you mind if I sort of re-make it and make it look more accurate? That one was drawn rather hastily as soon as the news broke out, and I sorta should have made it look more like Yaguarasaurus, which I see you also liked. When is this due?

Oh boy. I'm seriously behind. I've been working on stuff. I might just try to find it and mod the legs a bit.

prehistory-atg.deviantart.com/ here's the link to the fanclub page in question. In said group you can submit the work you currently have and if we need something more specific for the show, make something specific for the topic of the episode.

Good! a relative of my Yaguarasaurus! :)

The fossil has almost no limb fragments, and I've never seen a mosasaur with primitive limbs, that's why I didn't draw those.

I see, although you can see primitive legs in Dallasaurus. In any case Pannoniasaurus is related to marine mosasaurs...

Hmm, it probably looked more like a giant version of Dallasaurus, but anyways, it looks fine! :)
