Lufengosaurus hunei by EmperorDinobot Lufengosaurus hunei by EmperorDinobot
Lufengosaurus is a Chinese ';prosauropod' from the Early Jurassic known from some very well preserved and complete remains. It's said to be very similar to Plateosaurus.

Nobody ever draws these anymore. :( It's my favorite prosauropod. Also, I drew the arms a bit...large...so...try to ignore that :D

YESH!!! Thank you, thank you! I'm writing this book about dinosaurs and there's this place in the book where three types of prosauropods (because this book is set in the late Triassic) live. I decided to use the plateosaurus because they're my all time favorite (right behind Ceolophysis) Massospondylus, but I couldn't quite figure out what the third species was going to be. Lufengosaurus is perfect!

Basal sauropodomorphs. Prosauropoda is now defunct.
But we still call them Prosauropods :D

:hmm:, you've got a good point. Nobody really gives the prosauropods real atenion. So somebody (namely me) needs to look around really hard just to even find prosauropods :reading:. So all in all, this one is very good :).

Oh they're around. There's lots of well preserved sauropods out there. Plateosaurus, Melanorosaurus, Riojasaurus, Yuannosaurus, Massospondylus, etc.
