Diamantinasaurus matildae by EmperorDinobot Diamantinasaurus matildae by EmperorDinobot
Diamantinasaurus is a newly discovered Australian titanosaur that's been drawn with total armor...lol no such scutes were even found for this animal. It appears to have been quite robust.

Even robust bones often anchored light muscles. In fact for titanosaurs, freaky robust limbs with light smooth muscles seem to be the rule rather than the exception.

Nice job! And I'm glad you stuck with not giving it armor. It looks waaaaaay better that way.

My only criticism is that it looks a little too skinny, I've seen the bones in question myself and I think the restoration is sound.

I know. It's just that I try not to overdo the musculature on sauropods. Sure he was robust, but again, I don't like overdoing robustness on sauropods. Let's just pretend this is a gracile specimen :D

I've been wondering why it's been drawn with armor, since no reports have actually said anything about any evidence of it having any.

Because apparently it's saltasauridae and by default all saltasauridae must look like ampelosaurus or freaking armored.
