1. Hey there, wanna introduce yourself to the readers?

There isn't much to say about me. My name is Kristina and I am 24 years old (soon 25 ). If you want to know anything specific, send me a note. And I hope my interview isn't as boring as i think it is, I usually don't have much to say.

2. Brevity hasn't caused anything to go bad so far. So, how long've you been making emotes?

Almost 6 years.

3. I know people that haven't even been alive half as long as that! What program(s) do you use the most to make emotes with?

The only program I use is photoshop cs4, it has everything I need.

4. That's a pretty commonly used program, and for good reason. Can you show us one of your greatest works / accomplishments that you're proud of?

There are quite a few pieces that I really like.   Some were replacement entries for the calendar project.  But my 2 favourite pieces are and , probably because these are my newest pieces and you are usually more proud of the new stuff.

5. That's true, there is no time like the present. So what do you feel like is the toughest part of making an emote?

There are 2 things. 1. To get a good idea. and 2. To be able to exactly recreate that idea as an Emote.

6. Idea hunting is a common answer, you can't make something unless you can start it. Do you have any advice for someone that's new to the emote making game? Any suggestions for tutorials, words of wisdom, etc.?

Interact with other Emoticonists, they aren't as scary as they seem to be. If you use a base that has been created by somebody else, give credit to the artist if it is from a a base pack and ask for permission if you copy it from one of their Emotes. And check out Emotication.

7. Other emoticonists aren't scary, but I am. I'm totally scary. Do you look up to anyone in the emoticon community as a mentor, idol, something like that?

I admire a-kid-at-heart, I love his ideas and the flawless animation.

8. He also looks up to you, you both seem to be pretty nice influences! Where do you think you get most of your inspiration / ideas from?

Mostly from games and songs. But sometimes random ideas pop up in my head.

9. Same here. Can you name anyone who you think deserves more exposure?

Gomotes deserves more exposure. I wish he would submit all of his Emotes to dA, you can find them on Gomotes

10. I've actually never seen another website have a focus in emotes, that's pretty unique, I'd say. So what do you think is the best part of being an emoticonist?

There are 2 things.
1. To see that others think your Emotes are good enough to use them in conversations.
2. The community. We are all so different from each other but we still interact with each other. It just matters that we all love to create Emoticons. There is nobody who says that somebody isn't good enough or too young/old to interact with them.

11. Emotes are a unique medium with that first point, since so few others can be used in such a manner, so I'd agree with you there. As the last question of the interview, can you tell me the worst pun you can think of?
