Phineas And Ferb is the best anime. The script, the musical scores, the animation. Doofenshmirtz is a very complex character, coming from an elaborate troubled background somewhere in the poorer part of Europe, perhaps even soviet times, and fights against a platypus that is actually a secret Agent, Perry, which is a great paradox.

Candace battles against obsessive compulsive disorder and it’s great seeing mental illness representation in a children’s cartoon.

Phineas is witty, but Ferb is nearly mute, representing a tender and special bond in between a dominant and submissive BDSM relationship, in a way that children will understand and comprehend. Ferb also has green hair and wears clothes that suggest he is homosexual, so this is applauding the immense diversity in Phineas and Ferb.

Stacey is the perfect example of the teenage therapist, always trying to help the deeply traumatized Candace recover. Jeremy is Candace’s crush, and is out of realistic reach, as a neurotypical male.

Baljeet, and Buford’s strained relationship represents the the issues of colonialism by Europeans of India and racism against Indians, and White Dominance. Characters like Isabella represent minorities in a positive light but still demonstrate that they are seen too subpar to be leads in the show, demonstrating the racial tensions of the real world.

When they reference real people on the show, they do so in a clear way, as a metaphor for American materialism. Overall, this show is the best anime I’ve seen, with a complex and deep plot, beautiful animation, well rounded characters, and touching on many important subjects.
