Across the Atlantic, the British Isles in general, and the United Kingdom in particular, have had their own legacy of costumed heroes and extraordinaries, steeped in literal millennia of history and lore stretching to before the arrival of the Romans. This era of heroes and extraordinaries , much like in America, really began in earnest in the runup to the second World War, though there had already been a handful of costumed types and beings of supernatural and scientific origin before then. Out of the war was born the United Kingdom’s chief group of heroes, the Imperial Knights of the Crown, and many future heroes would become members of the group at one point or another. With the war behind them, the Imperial Knights found themselves up against the Nazi remnant known as Dammerung, their rivals in the Warsaw Pact, and notable global scale villains like Malek Khan.
